So, as you all can see I am quite new here but I have been on multiple other forums over my years and have learned quite a bit about IM. I only wish I had tried out BHW while I wasted my time on other IM and money making forums as the value here is extremely high.

Anyway, I've never once in my life made a journey thread so since I am currently in the position to have to quit my part-time job in order to focus on college in the fall, I need to make some nice passive income while I focus on school. I have the mindset and experience, just need to apply it. Not going to fluff anything up, what I want to do is very straightforward.

That being said, if you have questions, I will try to answer if I can. However that is not the point of my journey thread. You see, over the years I have managed to try everything you could ever try when it comes to IM and I have wasted a lot of time and money but also made a lot of money. So, I feel this thread will keep me focused on one specific method and goal. I can not afford to fail now and not stick with one thing so here goes.

I have two plans for passive income. Kindle Publishing & Amazon Affiliate Niche Sites. I've been doing quite a bit of research on them both and of all the things I've personally seen here on BHW so far mixed with my years of experience with IM, they have the best chance of succeeding. So to not keep this intro post so long, I'll sum up what I want to do with them both. There are sooooo many different services here on BHW. I couldn't possibly try fishing through them all to see which would be better for me but since I am cheap and like to spend as little money as possible to make money, I will simply be looking at the services with the best deals. I am not affiliated with a single user on this forum so I'll just get that out of the way(see a lot of crap on other journey threads about it).

    Kindle Publishing
    1. Hire ghostwriters to write me some ebooks
    2. Order cover design for book
    3. Publish on Kindle
    4. Do Kindle promotion
    Affiliate Niche Sites
    1. Either (1)Buy some low competition keywords from a BHW member or (2)Buy amazon affiliate niche websites already made
    2. Order some content from the BHW marketplace or hire some writers from UpWork
    3. Rank the website using PBN links from the BHW marketplace(I will create my own PBN once I earn a bit more and can build it. Will be purchasing domains over time until I have a nice one myself), web 2.0s, social signals, backlinks, etc
    4. Monetize using amazon affiliates and adsense
That basically sums up what I'm trying to do. So far I have a book in writing(due in a couple weeks) and a niche website being created for me(due sometime next week).

I also have a couple other journeys I have that are bringing me in some money here and there including Fiverr and eBay. So with those two, mixed with my current part time job and a web service I do, those are my only sources of income. I currently average around $2000 per month with all that combined. Um, I think that is all that is needed to tell for my journey. If I missed anything or you have questions, let me know! If I add any other sources of income to fund this main journey of mines, I will tell you all.

I won't let this journey die off, I'll continue working at everything until it works. I just have to stay focused. At the end of every update I will try and provide expenses and earnings. I will see you all around!

Good luck with your journey. Let me know if you need any advice on Amazon affiliate sites. Journey threads are a great way to stay accountable to yourself and motivated.

With Backlinks make sure to not over optimize anchor text. Brand, naked URLs and generic anchors are very important for long term survival and I'd recommend using high quality links once you can afford it, such as real outreach guest posts and press releases to help protect your brand and build authority.

Thanks a lot! When it comes to backlinks, I'm still trying to learn more about anchor texts and what not. I do know I need good diversity though. I'll try to build longevity but I plan to get at least one niche site every month done and ranked so it won't be that bad if some don't make it in the long run

Your thinking of making a new site every month? If there's one piece of advice i can give you it's don't. Stick to 1 or 2 sites. These sites require a lot of work/time and money. Unless you have the time/budget you'll likely not make much money. I learnt that the hard way. Spread myself too thin with many sites. I'm pretty confident that I would be making $$$ per month by now if I had stuck to one site.

I am trying out a BHW member service where the site is made for me and ready to go. All I will need to do is rank it. That's why I have plans to get one every month. However, if it doesn't work as planned, I will not.

I will be doing money sites with amazon affiliates so it doesnt take that much to actually create the sites

Good journey. My advice is start building a private blog network. If you gonna rank alot of niche site you gonna need alot of PBN .it helps you rank easier.

Is Kindle publishing still a profitable platform to utilize? I've read a couple of threads here about it and it seems like it's harder to break into now?

    Good luck on your journey.

    Yep, that's the plan

Guess we'll find out now won't we. I will try to keep expenses low for this test.

    Will do!

Alrighty. Got my niche for my first Amazon niche site and love it. Bought the domain and already had hosting so no expense there. Next step after the site is complete is to try and get it to the first page on google for its main keyword as fast as possible.

Total Spent for Amazon Journey: $58

"as fast as possible" - Please for the love of god use any services that promise "fast rankings" because that will most likely mean tons of spammy links that will get your site ranked for a few days or weeks before tanking and never going back. Instead, try to manually find guest posts and rent links, since these seem to be more higher quality and have lower OBL.

Also look into building your own PBNs as well.

When I say fast I mean 2 months tops. I have no plans to buy services that offer "page 1 rankings". Instead I am looking towards specific services such as web 2.0s etc. I am still trying to decide if I want to churn and burn or build long term

2 months tops is pretty fast in my opinion. If you want to go churn and burn, Amazon affiliate sites aren't really the way to go. CPA would better fit that.

Of course, low comp is even more long term. If you can manage to rank high for a high comp for a short time, that's good money but not so much for low comp. low comp is for ranking for a longer time and reaping the money for years to come.

Alright. I have received my niche site and I am okay with it. The SEO is done quite well. Going to get some web 2.0s made for it and let them start aging. My kindle book is still in the process of being written.

Quick update as I was just surprised after checking my serp for today. My web 2.0s are still being created so not any link building done yet. However, I did start trying a different ranking method and ordered 5 - 500 word articles around LSI keywords and had them published.

(I was using serpbook for serp changes but it's not been working correctly these past few weeks so went to accuranker)

Not yet, not sure if I want to buy PBN links from the marketplace or start my own PBN. I don't currently have the funds to start my own and there are soo many different services in the marketplace, honestly not sure which service to buy. I don't want to affect my site negatively.

Also, I'm pretty sure I should get PBN links to point to my web 2.0's and not my main site but I am not sure on that either.
