Hello Guys,

So I have been reading a lot of Adult-related threads on the forum lately and have decided to give it a try, I have been planning to start this for a long time now but due to my busy schedule and other projects I was not able to start yet, so I have decided to start a journey thread here to keep myself motivated and learn from the fellow members here who have experience with this niche. I will try to provide updates as frequently as possible. I plan to achieve the 100k visits per month target in the next 3 months but let's see how it goes.

Domain: Already bought
Hosting: I am a bit confused with this and need your suggestions, I plan to start small and scale as per the growth so I have been thinking of purchasing a Shared hosting plan from Interserver as I believe @malikmajmudar also used the same while starting his tube site, but would appreciate recommendations from you guys
CMS: I have planned to use WordPress for now with Wp-script, if we see growth I will consider switching to KVS or some suitable CMS
Video Hosting: Thinking of Doodstream, I would love to hear your recommendations
(for now, I will get the videos uploaded, I won't be embedding them from other tubes)

Good luck, take your time and research the best options for you no need to rush.

Thanks Mate, But I have a little different thinking about this now, instead of trying to launch the best site, best service, or best product, better to launch a working one and keep improving it on the way because while trying to launch the best version most likely you will keep extending dates and wasting time. this is what I faced So I will be taking actions on this today itself and figure out a way to best while running.

Are you open to collaboration on this project?

Sorry Bro, this is not a JV thread and I don't know how would a collaboration work on this kinda project, maybe in future.

Niche tube or general. Niche would be better I guess. Anyways all the best

Use VSYS for hosting.

They have a thread on this forum and i'm using them from last few months and things are going smooth so far.

If you have enough money and you're serious about your adult tube then don't choose wordpress and go with KVS. It's way better than wordpress in terms of SEO, UI, ads placement, user management, videos management etc...

Good luck :)

Good luck with your journey friend!

Shared-hosting is very bad for SEO, there is an experiment on BHW where they perform the same and then in a month or two the dedicated IP versions outperform the shared hosted sites massively.

Invest the extra dollars and get a VPS, from Lyrahost or Alexhost. When you have more money to invest, then pick a dedicated server.

VSYS is very expensive for what they offer. I have no experience with them so not sure how DMCA resilient they are.

KVS is not necessary and is in no way shape or form better in terms of SEO or even ad placement.

As for user/video management, yes it is much better. But this is only if you allow users to upload videos (which is very slippery slope and requires very large moderation resources) or if you host your own videos.

At the beginning, don't allow randoms to upload videos to your tube. A competitor will 100% upload CP and report you.

I recently purchased Vsys vps for around 500$ per year (they gave me a customised deal). It's working as expected and i haven't faced any dmca issues yet.

I don't agree with KVS part. I have few sites on WordPress and KVS both. I have noticed better success rate of sites running on KVS and yes KVS allows ad placement wherever you want whereas on wordpress it's theme dependent. You can use ads plugin but then you're just going to put more load on your WordPress site. WordPress is not suitable for video sites ir requires a lot of plugins and proper themes to make it work exactly how you want it. I have 20+ plugins on my WordPress sites so it does increase load.

If you have budget go for KVS from start.

I have a site which gets around 20k users per day and it gets around 10 video uploads per day. I have set the default to in-review so it takes around 10 min max to check all those videos and publish them. I have a good number of user base too so i would say it's fine to allow user uploads if you have few minutes for moderator task..

Does KVS have a way to mass-import embedded videos?

I am sure it does have a feature called "Grabbers" which can be used to mass import videos. Although I haven't used that feature myself because I host videos on my server hence I have no idea how great it works.

I'm not talking about grabbers, I'm talking about mass importing doodstream embed codes, similarly to how OP is most likely going to go about it.

I'm pretty sure you can implement it. It doesn't come as a default feature, so you would need to pay a developer to do it

It doesn't have any in-built feature for mass importing doodstream embed codes but as @richcrichard99 said you can pay any developer to make it. But if you're going one by one then yeah you can simply put your embed code without any issues.

KVS and Mechbunny are the top video tube software management software for sure. Both have S3 storage and CDN options. KVS may have some better features but both are very similar in plugin and feature functionality. You can do custom scrapers or scrapes with yt-dlp. Self hosted videos > embeds. Embeds come off as spammy and are usually everywhere on the internet ect.

Building a tube from ZERO and getting free traffic is impossible these days. Traffic will not come in like nothing, it doesn't work like that these days.

Traffic will not come alone...

Asking KVS vs AVS what is better? Did anyone use all 2 and have some results what is better and faster grow. Thank you.
