Tomorrow one customer is renewing the contract. We’ll be doing some marketing campaigns for Valentine’s Day.

And on Friday I’m officially starting with the new customers.

Meanwhile, I’m thinking of starting to study some MySQL and PHP + JavaScript to be able to offer more sophisticated website creation as a service.

Hi neighbor!

Studying programming would imo not be a good option, stick to wordpress, cheap and fast, which most people want. Internet is not as developed and the need for a advanced site is just not there. Since mostly everything is done via Facebook in our countries you should focus on offering facebook ads services, this will give them quick results. I think the deal you made is great, maybe try doing 3 options. I always feel the deal you present really makes a difference in sales.

I would highly recommend you offer some of your services via FB ads. I had amazing results with super cheap ads, for farmer market type products, we made tons of money in a couple of months for a couple of euro daily for ads. Just an idea :)

Also if you need some cashflow you can try upwork for getting foreign clients. I had good results with this and it will keep you motivated. Our prices are super cheap for tier 1 countries and mainly your competition will be Asia, so you have pretty good chances landing projects. At least in my experience.

Good luck!

Oh yeah, everything is so hard to find online in these countries, maybe not a lot of people searching but make sure you are on google maps with your phone number and can be found by locals. I always find this to be a missed opportunity for a lot of businesses around here.

Thanks a lot for the info!

I’m currently working from my apartment, I don’t have an office. Can I still utilize Google My Business in some ways?

Sure, most important thing is that you come up in the results. Google will send you a postcard with a code to verify the adres. I live in the second biggest city in my country and still have a hard time finding services nearby when I Google them. I think most people will just want a phone number and call or whatsapp when they are interested, but most of the time nothing comes up in the local section. And get some people writing you some reviews on your google page!

You should definitely try fb advertising too, it can be dirt cheap (couple of eur daily) and with a little luck you will get results. Also posting on FB marketplaces groups gave me good results. The buy/sell fb groups in your city or region. Most of them will let you post for free. FB is king in eastern Europe.

Sounds great! I will definitely give it a try!

I know that Google sends a postcard, but if I verify the place where I live, won't people expect to see an office there or something?

And what if someone reports to Google that no such place exists?

You are right, i never worried about the visitors but it could happen, most likely people will just call you. I don’t think anyone would report it and that it is even possible. It probably would not be a large number of people googling these services. You could also do some SEO on your website for the services you offer+location. Check what comes up when you google it and try to do a little bit better then the top 3 pages. Just don’t make duplicate pages for different locations. I never did local SEO so not an expert i would say best is to copy others. My nr 1 go to is always organic traffic bcs it is an easier sell. Good idea is always to see what competitors in high competitions are doing and than copying that strategy to low competition areas. That is a sure win. Respect for the cold calling!

Thanks once again! I'm no expert to SEO but I think doing that will help me also improve my skills. :)

Lost one customer, earned a new one.
Tomorrow will sign with one more but for 150 E per year.

Will see how that goes.

For the cold emailing, how do you get the contacts of your clients?

per year? what kind of service it is?
Posting the lunch menu of the restaurant once a day - Monday - Friday.

Posting a photo they send me of the restaurant from time to time to keep social media active.

Don't get me wrong. It's shitty and I regret even offering this package. I don't offer it anymore but I have 2 customers already who signed. I hope I'll be able to upsell them to the standard package some time in the future.

Just came across this thread and it's amazing to see your progress. How much are you expecting to make in February?

February will be a tough month for me as I have many other things happening in my life that are away from the business.

Soon, I'm about to attend my final exam for a financial consultant which is very tough and I'm currently studying for it and focusing on just operating the business without thinking about expansion.

I'm trying to preserve the customers I currently have while I push through these tough months and then I'll focus on expansion. I will try several new customer acquisition methods which will include international customers. No more 150 E per month/year packages YAY! :D

P.S. To answer your question: I'm expecting to renew 3 customers at 150 E per month + 2 at 15 E per month (the yearly package divided by months) so 480 E is expected to be earned in February.

Maybe you can automate it with some auto-posting software if it's regular postings of pictures. To minimize the effort and time spent on this. I found some that let you use them for free if you do less than 50 posts per month or something... Maybe even ask for the content a month ahead.

Yes, absolutely. That's what I'm planning to do.

The only issue so far is that I can't grab the content for 1 month ahead because they're doing the lunch menu on a day-by-day basis.

Update! Took advantage of the Geru Software One-time Purchase offer and got the PRO edition for $164 (company money). I think this'll be a valuable investment that will help me upsell to existing customers as well as to pitch to potential ones.

Fuck... These budgets make me angry. Where are you from? I'm from Central Europe and a lot of people expect prices in 100-200 *my country's currency here* range. I just tell them to fuck off and take people in 500-1500 range when I happen to come by these. Had real problems with breaking out of 1500 trap and just can't get anyone to pay 2000 or more.

Honestly some bitch wanted Instagram ads for 100, I told her no way and sold her an marketing audit for 500 (no campaign at all) that was a pdf of me complaining how shitty her business is (because it is).
Hahahaha. The best shit I'll read today.

I am from central Europe too. And I think it's a bad idea to work here. People work 4 days a week at 20 - 30% of their capabilities. Don't know anyone who isn't broke as a normal worker.
