[Journey] Recovering My PENALIZED Amazon Affiliate Site to $1,000/month

Interesting journey, I wonder if it's a general Amazon site hit my site has taken a nose dive from early October till now.
impressions have dropped from 2,500 to 600 I've not done any link building on the site but it was an expired domain that I kept in exactly the same niche.

What on-page factors are you looking at? over optimization?

That's because he's not using shitsense (AdSense). Amazon affiliate sites are way more profitable than AdSense.

It's a service here, but my Amazon account got banned (got re-instated recently, but lost around $400-ish) because of it so I'm not going to recommend it to you.

Dude, A LOT of on-page stuff. Keyword density, headings, internal anchors, external anchors, CRO and much more. Basically you improve the entire site, not just pinpoint and fix a few things.

Good question, and I thought about this as well. The thing is, a lot of keywords are just sitting on page 2-3. It's the main keywords that tanked really hard. So I consulted with an awesome technical SEO and he told me its recoverable, and so here we are.

I am planning to build another niche site, this time in a very low comp niche, just to satisfy the urge to build sites.

Heyo, no success so far. After the 'medic' update, my site recovered around 80% of rankings, THEN tanked again after the recent algo update around October-ish.

UPDATE:

So I partnered with a technical SEO guy and boy oh boy we've got a lot to cover. We want to fix the on-page SEO parts first before moving on to link building. Fixing the keyword density issues is the most tedious task so far. Hopefully I get this finished by December so we can kickstart link building come January.

I wish you luck man, ON PAGE SEO is everything, with a sprinkle of SOCIAL SIGNALS (real ones, not from marketplace), basically you need to build brand profiles too on all social media and other high DA profile sites. Let google know you're the brand and you'll be fine. If I were you, I'd invest in a new domain and move everything over for a nice fresh start. Also when getting backlinks, MAKE SURE you are only linking brand name or naked urls, never direct keywords EVER. (partial keyword is ok too but DONT OVERDO it.)

Do you think redirecting the site to a new expired domain in a somewhat related niche can help you resolve the issue?
