I recently joined an MLM company and wanted to start a journal so that I can track my progress going forward as well as keep me accountable to keep working at it. So, here it is... I've been involved with IM since 1996. I've had a lot of ups, and a lot of down periods over the years. My best year in 2005, I generated close to a million in sales with about $250K in profit. I actually started way back in 96 with one of the first banner exchanges. (This allowed me to quit my full-time job and get into IM full-time.) I'm pretty sure I've done most of the trends over the years. Banner exchanges, link exchanges, Blogging, Article Marketing, Myspace marketing, Craigslist marketing, Twitter and Facebook marketing, leads generation, Micro Niche Websites and on and on. But I've never been able to generate a solid RESIDUAL income. Everything has faded away, even my Micro Niche websites aren't generating nearly as much as they used to. What attracted me to MLM (Multi-Level Marketing or Network Marketing) in the first place is that you can build a SOLID residual income by recruiting others to do the same. I've dabbled in MLM before. My first exposure was Herbalife. I actually spent over $5,000 to get involved with that one and was pretty successful for awhile. I chose to recruit (instead of selling the product) and built a pretty good sized team and was making a nice residual income. However, due to legal pressure, they shifted from a recruiting focused company to a sales driven company with a $2,500 minimum per month in PERSONAL sales to keep getting your overrides. After that, I lost my drive and gave up. I knew the idea was great. I met many TOP income earners that were making tens of thousands per month in residual income in a relatively short period of time. So my search was on for a recruiting focused MLM company. I tried Ethos which was a gas additive, Agel which was a vitamin in a gel pouch, Pre-Paid Legal which was a legal plan, MyWorldPlus which was a discount coupon company, Xango which was an expensive fruit drink and even Isagenix which was another weight loss company. I even tried Amway, the granddaddy of them all. I wasn't successful with any of them. After all that, I simply gave up and went back to working a full-time job. I couldn't make enough STABLE income with IM, so went back to a full-time job so that I could keep supporting my family. Fast forward two years and here I am ready to give MLM another go. I reinstated with one of the companies I worked with in the past that I feel has the strongest advantages out of all that I tried. It's inexpensive to get started, and I actually get paid more in commission than I initially generate. I am going to be focusing on recruiting once again. I am not going to mention the name of the company here because I don't want this thread to pop up on a search by the company. I don't think they'd appreciate the marketing methods that we use here. I will say that the company allows me to recruit new associates from 49 of the 50 states in the USA, (sorry Alaska) and 3 provinces in Canada. My main focus will be here in Florida. If I can find some recruits here in the Orlando area, I can take them under my wing and bring them up to speed fast. There are weekly business meetings right here in Orlando that I can tap into for extra help. (They have weekly meetings all over the US and Canada, but I will personally be working with the people here in the Orlando area.) They have some GREAT web tools, so I will be using them as well. I have my corporate website and recruiting website all set up. I will be using numerous marketing methods to generate traffic. The nice thing is, I'll be getting paid over and over again on all the sales I make and my team makes. Back in 2004 when I first tried this company, I recruited 6 people. I dropped out a year later. When I reinstated last week, I found out that those 6 people went on to recruit 37 more people. Those 37 people could of been generating me at least an extra $2k in RESIDUAL income by now if I would of stuck with it. But I was distracted with other things I was working on back then, so now I am missing out. I won't get into any heavy details on the compensation plan, but you basically find 3 people, then help them find 3 people and so on. The first 3 people that I sign up have the biggest advantage as I am able to place any additional recruits under them so it benefits both of us. I will update this thread as I begin recruiting into this company. I'll also post any sales of the service that I make with my commission. You'll see the commission I make per sale grow over time as I advance up the compensation plan. If anyone has any interest in joining me, please PM me for more details. I can only work with people in the USA (except Alaska) or Canada, though. The opportunity is not available outside these countries. If anyone has any questions (aside from what company is it), post them here and I'll do my best to respond to them in a timely manner. So wish me luck! I'm pulling out all the stops on this one! First stop - Facebook to announce my new company.
