I found a niche in which the content is poorly made, even though the competition is very high. I'm probably a lot more knowledgeable about it than most of my competitors, that are mostly posting the same unoriginal content. Some of the competition is from wiki sites, with is great for me because they're pain to read.

I have an assumption that I can beat them, or at least take a big chink of their traffic, just by writing better and more readable content than them.

I've bought a batch of 100 expired articles to be used as some of the filler content and some of the building blocks for a few articles. Out of the 100, only 30 were usable, so it's around $3.5/article, which is still a sweet deal for the time they saved me.

The blog is set up on a brand new domain (because otherwise, what's the point of the test?) in a simple and fast design. I chose the GeneratePress theme over Astra because I trust @RoiBox , so he was the tiebreaker.

I'm working on the content myself, still considering if I'm gonna hire a few writers just so I won't have to deal with all the research, but as I know myself, I'll just rewrite everything they send me and redo the research so I might only use them for very low priority content.

Social media posts will be written by ChatGPT, I bought some prompts that can save me a lot of time. I'm also going to feature some creators from my niche, most of my competitors are posting the creators' content without crediting them properly, which annoys me personally, but it also gives me the opportunity to make it right and open doors for collaborations later on.

There are currently ten articles published and a few more that are almost completed. Each is a lot better than any of the results on the first page, so I hope they'll be picked up when I'm out of the sandbox. I can't complete more than 2-3 articles per week because I have my own business and another blog I work on with the same standard of content, so it'll have to do. Hopefully, I'll find a more efficient way of writing the content, maybe use ChatGPT for structuring it.

I'm not sure yet about buying links, I may just pick up an occasional review copy, which I'll update here on the thread.
The monetization will be with Adsense (or other equivalent ad networks). There is another way of monetizing this type of content, but I might try it later on because I don't fully understand that yet.

This is how my GSC looks at the moment:

All of the articles are indexed without any external assistance, so I take it as a good sign.

I believe that's it for this time. I'll keep this thread updated with progress.

If you are not gonna spend on backlinks then can you beat the other authority websites in your niche, solely based on superb quality content?

And good luck on your journey.

You are already making a good start - the experiment looks promising
Good luck mate

I noticed that if you use a workspace account under your legit name, links get indexed faster and cleaner. I am going to do more tests.

Good Luck for your goal. Let's hope for the best. looking forward for your updates too

Not too much to update about. Applied to Adsense a day or two ago, added a couple more posts that got indexed, and started supporting a couple of content creators through Patreon for the shouts and mentions.
I'm about to start a follow/unfollow campaign on IG, but don't have yet an organized content plan there.

any updates?
It started to go really well, and at some point I just found myself doing other stuff instead.

I'm gonna go back to it soon, I hope, and post an update.
