Who is Nemo? Well certainly not the children's character. But I decided to insert the world 'magical' in there just in case you were thinking of the joke, already. A journalism major on paper and a writer at heart. Please excuse my spelling/grammar errors. I spend so much time proof-reading that I'd like to be able to 'take a break' while on here. How Nemo discovered IM? Well sometime ago, a friend and I decided to do a podcast just for fun. Well, fun for me. My friend wanted to really make a livelyhood out of the Podcast. However neither of us knew how to create websites. I didn't care - until we quit the podcast. I enjoyed the podcast and wanted to continue on my own. To do this, I really REALLY need to make a website (prior we literally were doing it [the podcast, that is] inside of a studio, recording it on CD. We uploaded the shows to myspace. Yes, myspace. Really a half-hearted job - but we just wanted to parody the world of American Politics. Long story short, I was 'forced' to learn about website making, now and I didn't have access to the studio anymore. So I actually needed to make a 'real' podcast - you know, on the computer. I needed to make a blog to house the podcast. Where that brought me.... After I quit the podcast (it would take way too long to produce - I used SOUND FORGE to edit the show) I decided to look further into the world of blogging. To make a long story short, I dipped into Autoblogging + adsense and discovered the world of CPA and SEO knowledge. You know how that goes. One thing lead to another lead to another lead to another until it's 6am, haven't slept in days and reading BHW posts. Bogged down with 'regular 9-5 work', over the years I never really FOCUSED on Internet Marketing. My CPA income served as supplemental income and it def increased my standard of life a little during those years of working 9-5. However, instead of applying the knowledge I would read about, I gave minimal attention to IM even though I actually ENJOYED it very much. Plus, for the last several years - after working so hard all week, the last thing I wanted to do was to "work more" over the weekend. However, deep down, I've always had a desire to own my very own successful IM endevour. Where we are now: Well, they say be careful what you wish for, right? The Universe always answers? Don't they say that? Something like that, yes? Circumstances over the last year has caused me to walk away from the 9-5 world - at least, for now. I was pretty miserable, anyway. As a result I had to move around, and now here we are. I.M. MUST be my main source of income - and I'm quite fine by that. I need to use my mind anyway. I just don't feel right at a 9-5. It's like being a robot in a paint drying factory. I am ready and determined to make it happen. I have full time days to make it happen and I've been putting forth all of my attention on making this work. I have good family support, so I am not pressured to do anything other than don't waste time. I don't owe anyone child support so there's no little jimmy's depending me for his next meal. I didn't have a whole lot of start invest money, so I'm starting literally from $1 a day to $100 a day. My goal is to combine my passion for writing, my growing knowledge of IM and my drive to succeed in making this a successful endeavour The goal is at least $100 a day by the end of 2 months (60 days). After being out of the IM world for about a year, I spent the last several months researching. I'm creating this Journey for 4 reasons. 1. Focus - Doing this will help me focus. As we all know the world of IM is vast. Without focus, one can get lost in the ocean, be distracted by the tide and taken down by the wave. I would like to rise to the top, the cream of the crop, the king of the hill - well, you get the picture. 2. Sharing - It is my intent to help others learn as I learn. I am obviously learning to. This is a tool to better my learning, and to really focus my efforts. I am very grateful for the BHW community - I probably learned the majority of anything IM from this forum. In fact, it's the go-to forum for me, as it is, I'm sure for everyone reading these words right now. Some may feel otherwise, but I am a big fan of unity and giving. I believe in wishing for another what I would want for myself. As times go on, even if there are 100 different journeys, some new people may not know anything about IM - until they read that ONE THING that sparks their creative juice. If I helped, I am happy. Plus, we are all part of the same world, aren't we? 3. Charity - i know, I know, it may sound corny, but I want to give to charity. Specifically, I want to begin with a local church that was almost destroyed by Mother Nature. It will take at least a year to restructure the Church. I want to be able to donate sizable amounts to the repairs of the church. I see other people donate and I am so ready to be able to do that, too. It's just that simple. 4. BHW - Lastly, I want to give back to BHW. Everything is here on the board for people to succeed. I KNOW I'm going to succeed. And therefore, I would like others to see this, be inspired by it, and lead a good life, as a result. I also hope that this will stimulate ideas within those who are on the fence, or just need a spark. This will be very organized as we move on, this is just an introductory post to get this started. Plan Of Action: Develop a moderate variety level multi-niche informational site. Develop two niche specific sites with one niche At this time, one is decided (because the domain name is GREAT), and the other is undecided and will be based on results from Micro Niche Site results) I will get into KW competition #'s etc in my next post. Intended Sources of Income: ***Clickbank*** ***Fiverr*** ***Freelance Writing*** Elance Constant Creation CPA 0_o The primary GOAL is ClickBank success. I want that to be funded by the money made in the other areas. I am looking to also succeed in Fiverr which is going pretty well at the moment. (#'s in the next post) I'm not to high on CPA with the shaving, CPA networks folding and air of mystery around getting paid. I made some money with Copeac, Epicentre and a few others in the past. Other Misc Information Twitter: I would like to focus really on SEO re: ClickBank/Site development and not divert my attention on Social Marketing. As of now, however I have about 4 Twitter accounts with a total of 15,000 followers (combined). I like Twitter, but As I often read, Twitter doesn't convert. It's nice to have FB, but I'm just not into it. 2 are niche specific. One has about 2,000 followers and the other not worth mentioning. Adsense: Well, I've made a little with Adsense. But mostly it was during my auto-blogging days. Now I'd like to focus on CB and to a lesser extent CPA. I'm thinking about taking down adsense so as not to distract from the products I'm trying to promote. Amazon Affiliates -This is sorta like Clickbank. I have a YouTube accounts that has some viral videos to help with this. But, again - I guess the only way to make money on Amazon is through an affiliate store. Maybe I'll make one of the NICHE SPECIFIC DOMAINS AN AMAZON STORE? That's me thinking out-loud. Essentially, I'd like to spend my Fiverr money (well not all of it!) on things that will help my website develop. Since that's the money that seems to come trickling in every day. That's where I need some guidance on - where do I spend the (moderate amount of) money?. I'm doing great with Fiverr, as you'll see with my next few updates. The next step is using the bit of money toward better things. Lastly: I've been rather reckless with money before. So I'm disciplining myself here by having to use the money in the right way. Each day I will give the following update: Today: Week 1 Total: Last Week: This month so far: With some other additions as they come to mind. In the updates I'll also give more information as to what I'm doing, where I'm focusing on so that I can learn more and help others learn in the process. This will occur during the day as, well, I'm here all day, folks. I began note taking for this Journey a little while ago, so I will update with some results later. Begin: 01 Dec 12 Milestone: 11th Feb 12 Thanks for reading. 60 days seems kinda fast. But we'll see how it goes. It's called inspired motivation.
