Hello guys!

I'm reading the forum since some time from now, and now decided to participate and publish my feedback.
I'm running 1 main movies/TV shows streaming website, and opened several new ones recently.

The main one has been created 7 months ago now, started literally with 0 visitors and was totally unknown. I used a script and uploaded all the videos by myself, little by little, and now have 1,6k movies, 128 TV shows including 7926 episodes. It's hosted on namecheap under a fake name + paid with a crypto card. The domain extension is a .com. Not the perfect combination for a streaming website, but I was a beginner in that industry back then.

For the first 5 months, I was struggling to earn money (40 cents on M1, $1.5 on M2, $3.6 on M3 and $12.7 on M4), using random CPM advertisers with low traffic.

In April 23 (so last month), I finally achieved some decent stats & selected better advertisers.
The main website got 46K unique visitors in the last 30 days (11K in feb, 27K in march, 46K in april - 4,06k in the last 24h), and by using 4 CPM advertisers + monetizing the views, I can manage to collect $300/month currently.
The CPM rates are variable. It can go as low as $0.2 and up to $3.7, depending on the days and advertisers. The average of all of them combined is $1.4.
Most of my visitors are coming from organic search on Bing.

I recently opened 10 more websites, almost identical, on a offshore server in bulgaria + some domains names in russia paid with WebMoney and/or crypto.

There's a lot of ads on each of them, but I plan to reduce them as much as the websites will continue to grow, in order to ensure a continuous growth rate and avoid bounces due to the number of popunders. It's tough to balance the potential earnable profits (by maximizing ads) and the decent number of ads there should be (in order to keep the websites attractive).

My main targets are to reach 1-2K$ monthly by the end of 2023 (hopefully before), taking into account the possible upcoming growth (100-200K uv/month would be great for the first one, and still running the stats for the other ones). Any advice btw?

I've got a lot of DMCA complaints recently, but I manage to regenerate new links as soon as they appear, and try to keep the files enabled/accessible at all times (thus trying to avoid any decrease in visitors). Indeed a huge amount of work, but regarding to the past growth, I believe that it does worth it. :)
That's half my daily work on the website. The other half is about publishing new movies/tv shows/episodes.

If you have any suggestion or idea about how I could manage to increase my income, it will be a please to read your replies! :)
As well, if you are (or were) in that industry too, that would be interesting to to know more about your incomes!

There's more infos on the stats provided below (they're in french, sorry for that):

A freelance web dev, indeed!
Started as web2 dev (PHP/MySQL with some interest in Javascript), then mainly into crypto and web3 smart contracts development, and now switched back to web2.

I always had an interest in making a streaming site, but the shear upfront cost of getting everything down plus the legality always scared me away. Im more of a design guy, even though ive messed around with python alot. Im hoping to get started on something similar soon.

Interesting! Following.

Does all your websites focus on French-speaking traffic? Or do you test multiple languages? And do you notice much difference in terms of ranking?

Good luck!

Yes, currently all my websites are focusing on french-speaking people. I might include English as well on additional websites, since it would be better to drive tier-1 countries users!

Try to make another source of income. Don't rely on this. Don't trust namecheap, they can vanish your full website without giving a single warning.
Good luck!

Thanks for the tip.
That's why I created mirrors of my website through different domains & different companies, which start to generate traffic as well. (Except if you were talking about another source of income in a different way, outside of streaming platforms, if yes I'm still searching for a profitable one)

These new mirrors domains are registered from webnames.ru, with a .ru extension. My new website servers are located in Bulgaria, on a DMCA-ignored offshore platform.

Little funfact btw, one CPM advertiser paid 13.74€ CPM rate on May 9. Pretty decent.

This is awesome bro keep it up!

Super statistique ! C'est possible de te dm pour avoir plus d'infos ? :)
Merci beaucoup ! Oui pas de souci !

What for Ad network use you?
I tried a lot of ones before finding those which are currently profitable to me. It depends of your website niche, the number of visitors per day, the type of ads you put and how much. It will vary from website from website.

On my side, it's mainly Adcash, Monetag, A-ads (for banners), PopAds and Adsterra.
I previously used Webmonetiser, Popcash and some others, but the CPM started to decrease a lot every day.

A little bit more about the journey:
The stats are doing very well recently.
If I have something to say regarding the stats below, I would say don't give up. Some months in the beginning were awful, but I kept adding more movies and TV shows, and then the rocket took off, smoothly. Don't forget the SEO tags that are very important also (and choose them carefully).

Something that I forgot to add, here's the Excel sheet of the general incomes I get from the first website.
So what you get a clearer view of the management of a streaming website (that's my way, I'm sure that there is other people around using different tools and parameters).

You will see a bunch of estimations in the black square, but it's for personal use only, since anything can happen anytime, thus destroying all my predictions. I'm using 1.33 as growth factor as a conservative prediction, even if I hope for more.

  • The "xGrowth from prev month" parameter shows by how much the videos income (on column E) has increased from the month before.
  • The "Video views" column displays the total number of views that are counted on the host on which I upload my videos. The "Videos income" displays how much I earned from that (it pays $22 for each 10k views for Tier 2 countries, in which France is listed).
  • "Videos views / day" is just the Video views number divided by 30.
  • The grand total (column K) shows how much I earned in total for the corresponding month (in column A).
  • The graphs gives a better understanding of the numbers, showing that the growth rate were exponential in the previous months.

Impressive work dude, keep going!

Good job. In your post you said that you're using fake names and crypto to stay anonymous with hosting/domain. How are you cashing out your money from ads? Are you also using anonymous info and some fake paypal/banking information to withdraw the money?

If you turned all your movies sites into a CPA site you’d make more money. Like this : https://yoursilverscreen.com/en/movie/447365/guardians-of-the-galaxy-volume-3

You could make more money than your 5 sites in couple days if you ranked in google for specific movies, also you need to rank in google & Bing.

I think OPs approach is a lot more stable, he'll have people coming back. Doing the CPA approach, you'll most likely end up burning a lot of your traffic, unless they'll actually get the video in the end.

Je ne peux pas te DM, peux tu le faire stp ? :)
Tu utilises quoi comme theme wordpress ?

Hey, extraordinary. I have been working in the same niche for years before and I thought it died recently. Nice to see you doing some progress. You are streaming movies, tv shows, animes ? What cms are you using? Which host are you using for videos? Do you upload videos with a program or manually?

Thank you guys.
Indeed, I'm using the stability strategy, even if it pays less compared to CPA, but it's less random also.

The Google ranking isn't easy tbh, most of my traffic is coming from Bing (and other search engines like Ecosia, it looks like all the little engines are using Bing data).

I cashout my money from ads using BTC and crypto overall, no need to provide any info. If I will have to do so, I will then use the same identity as the one I used to register my websites.

The streaming niche is still active! :)
I'm streaming movies and TV shows. A little bit of anime also, but it's not even 0,5% of the content of my websites.
I'm using a script called Wovie. All the videos are hosted on Doodstream, and the upload is a combination of search (through the Dood servers) and manual upload, for rare files.

Je crois que je viens de trouver ton site .... C'est bien f**n***.fr ?
Nope ;)
