Hello guys!
I'm reading the forum since some time from now, and now decided to participate and publish my feedback.
I'm running 1 main movies/TV shows streaming website, and opened several new ones recently.
The main one has been created 7 months ago now, started literally with 0 visitors and was totally unknown. I used a script and uploaded all the videos by myself, little by little, and now have 1,6k movies, 128 TV shows including 7926 episodes. It's hosted on namecheap under a fake name + paid with a crypto card. The domain extension is a .com. Not the perfect combination for a streaming website, but I was a beginner in that industry back then.
For the first 5 months, I was struggling to earn money (40 cents on M1, $1.5 on M2, $3.6 on M3 and $12.7 on M4), using random CPM advertisers with low traffic.
In April 23 (so last month), I finally achieved some decent stats & selected better advertisers.
The main website got 46K unique visitors in the last 30 days (11K in feb, 27K in march, 46K in april - 4,06k in the last 24h), and by using 4 CPM advertisers + monetizing the views, I can manage to collect $300/month currently.
The CPM rates are variable. It can go as low as $0.2 and up to $3.7, depending on the days and advertisers. The average of all of them combined is $1.4.
Most of my visitors are coming from organic search on Bing.
I recently opened 10 more websites, almost identical, on a offshore server in bulgaria + some domains names in russia paid with WebMoney and/or crypto.
There's a lot of ads on each of them, but I plan to reduce them as much as the websites will continue to grow, in order to ensure a continuous growth rate and avoid bounces due to the number of popunders. It's tough to balance the potential earnable profits (by maximizing ads) and the decent number of ads there should be (in order to keep the websites attractive).
My main targets are to reach 1-2K$ monthly by the end of 2023 (hopefully before), taking into account the possible upcoming growth (100-200K uv/month would be great for the first one, and still running the stats for the other ones). Any advice btw?
I've got a lot of DMCA complaints recently, but I manage to regenerate new links as soon as they appear, and try to keep the files enabled/accessible at all times (thus trying to avoid any decrease in visitors). Indeed a huge amount of work, but regarding to the past growth, I believe that it does worth it.
That's half my daily work on the website. The other half is about publishing new movies/tv shows/episodes.
If you have any suggestion or idea about how I could manage to increase my income, it will be a please to read your replies!
As well, if you are (or were) in that industry too, that would be interesting to to know more about your incomes!
There's more infos on the stats provided below (they're in french, sorry for that):
