A few months ago, I started reading and learning about Programmatic SEO. I find it pretty interesting and not many people on BHW are talking about it. So here's my journey thread about pSEO.
For this journey, I'm going to set up 5-6 sites in different niches.
Site 1: I started Site 1 on the 1st of November on a fresh domain. It has around 100K pages in total. I've set it up to publish all ~100K posts over 2 years. Although it took me a few hours to set it up, the plugin I use took 3 days to generate all the pages. The biggest challenge with this site is the speed. The database is bloated so the server response time is pathetic. Although it's indexing well right now, I expect some problems with indexing in the future because of the speed.
Site 2: Site 2 is in a similar niche to Site 1. Site 2 has around 400 posts in total set to publish over the next few months. It went live yesterday.
Site 3: Site 3 is a site that should have around 35K posts. It should be ready next week. I'll set WP to publish the posts over the next 2 years.
Site 4: Site 4 is not ready. I have the data ready. The site will have around 1000 posts.
I'll update the thread with additional sites as and when I start them.
It's super easy to set up a pSEO site. It doesn't take more than a couple of hours once the data is ready. There's no keyword research required because you target every keyword.
All you need is a dataset. You can either use and existing one, scrape your own or hire someone to make one for you. A couple of good sources for data are Github and Kaggle. However, I recommend that you build your own dataset or find a way to leverage existing data to present it in a unique way.
Once you have the database, you need basic text to use the data in sentences. I use sentence level spintax for the content. It reads quite well.
To generate the posts/pages, I use Page Generator Pro. It's available in Festinger's vault. You can also use WP All Import or a python script to generate the content for you.
That's it! It's super easy to get started. All you need is a domain and hosting.
