Intoduction (you can skip this part) I've been reading Blackhatworld for years, and finally I have something to share about. Two years ago I've decided to start a company which would sell upvotes, make viral posts, and comments on reddit after reading one of the topics from this forum. It wasn't that easy to fool reddit, since they have great spam detecting algorithms and it was quite challenging to automate it. The accounts got shadow banned so often that I've decided to hire a few guys from my country, who'd post thing on Reddit and take part in different discussion. After we got more than 100 handcrafted high quality accounts, it was the time to get some money from our clients. And we did (and still doing) pretty well. Once they were good enough we started to automate them, creating some fake discussions and actively participating in different subreddits. A combination of manual and automated approach helped us to get more than 1000 high-quality accounts which are constantly in work for our clients. However, working with other people's projects for such a long time, now I realize that it is time to start something new! At the moment, my clients bring me about 6-10k a month, but that's not the income I am looking for since it is NOT passive. So, I decided to make a journey where I'll try to build a passive income, which would be more than my current income flow from clients. I am going to send updates about my client-based (active) and passive income about once a week, and hopefully the latter will eventually outweigh the former. Setup I have about 1000 high quality aged accounts with decent comment and posting karma on Reddit. A few days ago I bought a domain with Godaddy coupon (4 dollars for .com and privacy), setup wordpress site with Newspaper 8 theme (59 bucks) and installed a bunch of plugins (including Yoast Seo, Pretty links and wp-rocket). I am going to build a website about travelhacks and hope to use reddit traffic to boost SEO factors and gather a decent amount of subscribers. A lot of people are sceptical about Reddit traffic (and they are right), but for more than 2 years of work with my client's projects on Reddit, I can ensure you that great content always does its job very well! Travel niche is very saturated, but once again, we will use a twist and focus on high paying topics like credit cards. I plan to get a lot of traffic from travel related keywords, which are pretty easy to rank, and send people to more expensive ones. Monetization Credit card related keywords have CPC about 20-50 dollars according to Adwords Keyword Planner. Adsense should provide a good chunk of income, but that's not enough. Reviewing of travel gear + amazon links are gonna make a good job too. Plus, I have some additional ideas which I need to test during my journey. Current weekly income The previous week was very slow, I was able to get about 1830 dollars from selling my services. My current passive income is 0. The startup cost was 59 (newspaper theme)+ 4 (godaddy) + 5 (hosting on digital ocean) = $68 dollars plus about 30 hours of time for initial setup + keyword research. Let's see how far can those hand-crafted Reddit accounts bring me.
