First of all, I'd like to apologize for my bad English.

Hi, my name's Andrew, I'm 25 years old, I'm a proud husband and father and I live in a small, and kind of underdeveloped, country from East Europe. I really wanted to make this thread earlier but couldn't really find the time for it.

So, I started lurking BHW in late 2016 and started trying all sorts of moneymaking methods (from porn re-uploading to drop shipping), unfortunately, nothing really paid off...

In February 2017, I heard that the government just passed a legislative plan that would create a startup financing program based on their business plan. Basically if you had an ideea for a business, you created a business plan and submitted it to be scored depending on a number of factors ( like no. of employees, what type of business will it be, how much of the budget will be spent on equipment, etc.)

Whilst checking the scoring table given with the business plan template I noticed that a particular activity (software development) had the best scoring alongside production industry.

Now, here was my point of view: What equipment do I need for software development? Computers basically; What would I need to implement the things that I learned from BHW? well ... Computers. And then it hit me, why wouldn't I make a business plan based on software development, and start from that, and then use all the knowledge I gained from BHW and equipment that I'll acquire from the grant and build my own brand? And it all started from that.

Long story short I made the business plan all by myself, and I'm really proud of that because I have little to no knowledge of software development (I was a Law student), and was accepted for a ~41.000 euro grant.

I used the money to rent a working space, buy equipment and pay my running fees for 6 months in advance.

At the moment, I'm working on three separate projects, but I'll talk about those in some future posts.

I wanted to post a couple of pictures of my office but apparently, I have to have 15 post, I'll update this post after I pass the requirement.
Anyway sorry again for my bad English and thanks for reading.

so is this a journey or just some kind of showoff?
are you planning to do some progess?

Congrats, where are you from if I may ask? :)

Good luck. Nice to see government is promoting businesses at least somewhere in the world. Can you add link to that program ?

I think that the program he's talking about it is in Romania, just search on google "startup nation" (google.ro to get relevant results )

As I said in the original post, I'm working on 3 projects at the moment and I plan to post about them in the near future.

This is correct.

I also thought about doing that last year but didn't think I knew and tried enough to succeed.
There are a few awesome grants this year as well and with non refundable money (you don't necessarily need to respect your business plan).
Just look it up fellow Romanians, you'll more than likely find it.

OP, good luck with your projects.
Going to follow this.

congretzz man, its always nice to see somebody succeed like this.
I hope you inspire others to do the same

Congratz for your achievement! Looking forward to read your 3 projects.
