I will be documenting my journey to $500 per month with an online tools website. I won't be starting with a new website. Actually, it's not an expired website but I've had something on it for the past 5 months.

For the online tools, I created a new section last week and since then I've added 15 tools in total, 3 yesterday. The tools section is already performing better than the website did when I launched it 5 months ago, but the initial content might have helped although they are not closely related.

Today's data is still updating in GSC but here's the chart. =>

The new tools section will be the main focus of this journey.:D:)

Sounds good. I am curious about your what your tools do but I understand you probably don't want to go into it.

Anyway good luck!

Niche with a lot of search interest. You could also use chat gpt to come up with codes for more tools.
Good luck.

Following! What CMS are you using for your site? Or is it custom? I'm looking to develop a simple tool for one of my WordPress sites but not sure if I should build it as a plugin or just js, any recommendation? It's not complex, but I would need about 100 different algorithms for the user to select between, afraid it's gonna be heavy on the site.

I use custom code.

Since you said it's just a simple tool, you should probably build it as an add on. Personally, I wouldn't build it on WordPress cause I feel it adds an unnecessary performance overhead even for simple things.
But I may be biased. I can't remember the last time I built a WordPress website.

For doing tools try shellgpt on GitHub it is the best.
I don't know if I can trust that though.

From the documentation I can see it knows the OS someone is using and can run terminal commands. I don't want a simple mistake (or malicious from a third party) from it to fry my computer ;)

What are your tools about?
They are based on different topics that are only brought together by two keywords, so anything I say to give a hint about them might reveal the exact niche.

That’s good! I'm still looking for an idea to create my page. I'm a programmer so I can do it but what worries me the most is how to position the site on Google ( i mean rank)

When I was creating my new section I had to decide between creating online calculators and what I'm currently working on. Maybe you can go that route and look for low-competition calculators.

Yesterday's impressions are still rolling in. Plus, my positions are getting better. Late last week daily positions were at 50+, now they are at 20-30+

Here's how it has performed since I launched it.

Impressions are still updating though, but the 18th wasn't a really good day for the section.
I uploaded 5 new tools early in the morning yesterday. (19th)
Will be working on 10 today. :)

Here's how my positions have moved:

The tools section failed woefully with the September update. I think the problem was having two unrelated things on the same website, not even on a different subdomain, just a different subdirectory.

I'm not quitting though. I planned to program the section into a proper standalone website over the last few weeks since the 25th and sell it on CodeCanyon. I finished the programming part but I knew I had something good on my hands so I decided to launch it on a different website all on its own. I just did that around 10 a.m. yesterday. I used the URL inspection tool to submit about 8 tools. The website is performing well for a new one. less than 24 hours old. Here's yesterday's currently incomplete stats:

I just hope it doesn't fail like the other one after a few days. That's all for now.
But wow, less than 24 hours!!
