[Journey] Get Rich or Die Trying! My LONG Journey from $0 to $10,000,000/yr on Ebay

I forgot you dont dropship. What is the FBO model? I tried to look it up couldnt find anything. I searched fulfillment by owner. Didnt find anything so I dont think thats what it is.

Is FBO something I can do in America?

You said dropshipping on ebay using aliexpress is very hard. You said im better off doing it on shopify. The problem is its hard because you have to pay out of pocket for ads... And theres to many factors, from if the product sucks, the website sucks, ads are too expensive. I think its a tougher way.

I just want to sell on ebay instead... But I cant seem to find a good dropshipper. So I may do FBO if I can learn what that is. Does that mean I have to buy in bulk and ship everything out myself?
What is FBO?

Good luck with your journey, love the consistency!

Following your journey and looking forward to you sharing your updates!

Fulfillment by others, that usually is just a fancy term for someone who store products in an oversea warehouse and shipping them directly from the warehouse.
Hey, i hope you are all enjoying your new year! I just have a few more questions:
1) Would you reccomend hidemyacc or another antidetect browser?
2) On these antidetect browsers do you use windows or android?
3) On the antidetect do you use only 1 browser or multiple browsers?
4) In terms of proxies, would you recomend residential, data center, enterprise, ISP proxy or mobile proxies? These are all offered from iproyal

Man, reading this is inspiring. Starting with sneakers and now scaling to $700k/year is wild. Quick question though—how do you handle returns for drop-shipping? Seems like it could get messy fast.

Respect for sharing your journey so transparently. Managing 200+ accounts sounds like a nightmare—how do you keep track of everything without losing your mind?

You will need 3 employees and a very detailed google spreadsheet.

when you ask the buyer to return the item, you are hoping that they never do, and then the case will close in your favor without you refunding the money. If they do return, we will just issue refund, we don't care whether they returned the item or that we have received or not. Since the product cost is insignificant.

1. The best one is thunderbird, unfortunately, the are only available in China. I used to use morelogin, they can handle the basics.
2. You can use just a browser based on window environment.
3. You need 1 browser per ebay account.
4. residential and mobile proxies if they are clean.

Been following this thread since the beginning and want to share my thoughts:

What makes this journey impressive isn't just the numbers - it's your systematic approach and willingness to adapt. You started with dropshipping, recognized the risks, and evolved to an FBO model. That kind of flexibility is rare.

Your transparency about the challenges (account bans, startup costs, managing VAs) has been super valuable. Most "success stories" only show the wins, but you've documented both successes and setbacks.

One question: Have you considered developing relationships with manufacturers directly? Seems like at your current scale, cutting out middlemen could boost those margins even further.

Either way, thanks for consistently sharing real insights rather than fluff. This thread is gold for anyone serious about e-commerce.

@PandaDaddy Nice to see other people who play in big stakes too.

Good luck, +1 point for the font in the excel because I know why you use that :D
Do you mind telling why you used this font? Every time I see an update on your side I wonder about this remark but never asked.

Yes, I have purchased a small factory that is related to my most profitable niche and thus cut out the middle man in the beginning of 2024. This dramatically raise my profit margin from decent ~38% to almost ~50%.

This is a weird Chinese-English font. We used it because allegedly, people that are not using the chinese wps program cannot replicate the front because it is not in a traditional excel font library, though I never confirmed this.

I remember seeing this post when I was browsing BHW back few years ago and you're still going strong, you're a legend, hope you're healthy and that this journey has progressed good!

This is my 2024 year end summary.

Our gross revenue for the year is $3,048,642.25, and our net profit comes out to be $1,434,309, roughly 47%. The profit margin experienced a huge jump because I bought a small factory in early 2024 related to my main niche that cut out the middle man.

On top of that, I have spent day and night to maximize efficiency, reducing labor cost, shipping cost, ebay cost, and the end result is a big bump on profitability.

I have started this thread 2, or 3 years ago, and now I am 1/3 of my goal. This is largely due to ebay's trigger happy, ban likely policy. If they ban 50% less accounts, I probably would have reached 10 mil per year by now.

In 2024, I have focused on other alternative method on how to reduce bans, I went to ebay headquarters in san jose, and then to an ebay office in seattle where they say the trust team works from, and then to poweseller convention, but I see nothing that will help me to reduce the number of bans. At a certain point, I decided to give up on alternative methods and refocus to just having huge ebay farm.

Moving forward, my 2025 new year resolution is to reach the $5,000,000 mark in 2025. But our 2025 did not start great from sales volume standpoint, but you never know with this business, just when you think the sky is falling, you will see a sales graph that looks like a giant middle finger or some other body part :)

I included some random active accounts.

ebay does not ban you for SSN, think about it, they only ask you for last 4 digits, if they ban you because of SSN, there can only be 9999 bans.

again, ebay does not ban you due to ssn, and they surely do not ban you as a company. If you get banned, it is something else, not because of your ssn or company

people that tell you to use fake identity berceuse ebay banned you, those people don't know what they are talking about. There is absolutely no need to use fake identity, you can use your own and that will work just fine. However, ebay does seem to limit you, they only allow 1 person or company to open a certain amount of accounts within a certain period of time. I used other people's info because of this, this way, the growth will be faster for me.

Regarding the ssn when creating an account, do you mean I can still use my own with my previously banned status? Say it’s 121-22-3456, you mean I can use 3456 to create new accounts? I thought you mentioned to add someone else as a member to my llc, then use 4 digit of their ssn. Could you please clarify this for me? Also, you mentioned using other people’s info—do you mean people you know of? Like fam and friends? Or is there a way to get this info? I read someone asking about buying one. Is that even a thing? Never knew you could do that but I wouldn’t be surprised with all the back doors and ways to get things done these days.

If you are only using yourself's SSN, you will need to do this slowly, I notice that ebay does place restriction on how frequenly the same info can be used, but I don't know the same time frame.

You should never buy info, because these are stolen info, so law is one thing, and these info are abused to death and likely blacklisted. You can use your freind/relative's info with their permission. or pay someone to use theirs, you will be surprised on how many people are willing to rent out their personal info for affordable cost.

Totally agreed. I wouldn’t have gone for this without full transparency regarding sources. Ethical concerns would put a full stop before any legal issues even come into play.
What would be the “affordable” cost I should consider and how to even find someone who’s willing to let me use theirs?

Can a foreign resident with an ITIN be added as a member or manager of your company? And that ITIN be used instead of the 4 digit ssn?

i just read a few updaes of yours & remeber you from the start guess what i think your journey would make a great american movie or a book about the american dream , love the grind ,all the best
