Creating my own products and selling them
worldwide: A Classic Commerce Journey

Get in now at the beginning of my journey to $20k/month by
following/watching this thread. I do not do dropshipping. For the time
being I fulfill orders and do delicate customer service myself.

Requirements: Graphic designer (me), global shipping infrastructure (I use DHL),
lightbox and camera, persistence and determination
Products: Posters, Keychains, Stickers, Notepads, T-Shirts, Basecaps, ...
Method: Copy lesser known brands and also create own clean products
Niche: Any pop culture that millenials like

Plan
  • List every day consistently
  • End and relist stale listings (older than max. 3 months and havent sold) by using 'Sell similar'
  • Use focus keywords in first 3 words of title, max out 80 character limit, add human reading flow
  • White background photos (1600x1600px), at very least 6-8, at beast all 24 free image slots
  • Pay to win: Promoted listings double your earnings
  • Avoid duplicate content, unique titles and descriptions

Good luck on your journey, do you do merchandise ? if so, how are you planing to deal with copyrights problems ?
 
Cool, also did ebay for a long time... keep going! Maybe think about adding priorites to your open tasks to determine what could help you most to grow.

Thanks! Yes, I do. There are stores operating since years with 10k+ sales doing only copyright infringing material. I was hoping to be as lucky as them I guess. I also try to be more vague about it and create products without any copyright issues as well. And of course stay away from all the hot issue brands.

Thanks! The list is pretty much prioritized, except automation, some of that I will do soon. I've built a store system that automatically prints the shipping labels every morning.

If you have any more ideas on how I can grow my store please let me know!

+/- last month: +12%

eBay is still not going too great, not too bad either, but I might have screwed up by listing BH products right away since I'm still not getting enabled for using eBay Promoted Listings.

+/- last month: -6%

I let everything fall asleep this month because of IRL commitments, but I will start attacking coming months for holiday business where people online shop the most.

One observation: for a while this month sales almost completely stopped on ebay US but it was substituted by ebay DE sales picking up instead, even I didn't do anything on either.
It often seems like ebay is testing my account by changing my customers to different regions (suddenly I get three different orders from Puerto Rico for example).
