[Journey] Creating a Niche Site that earn $500/month

Hello everyone, due to corona, I have been thinking to make a niche website

Due to real life issue, I stopped doing IM for 5 Years.
Now everything changed

Google using AI for their search, new core update every 6 month, etc
I was using Blogger on my IM, which is popular in my country.
Since Blogger is dead, I moved to WordPress for this site

I created this website at April. But too much time wasted on learning wordpress, keyword planning, SEO, plugin, caching, designing the theme, changing domain due to copyright and many other problem.

Current Detail on my site
1. 31 post (My minimum word count on all my post is 1300 Word)
2. 150 Keyword are planned (Should be enough for 2021)


My Plan
What should I do
1. Creating Pinterest account for this website
2. Installing Google Analytic (I have been procrastinate installing GA, should I use flying analytic or Google Tag?)

Content Creation Plan
1. 15 Post every Month
2. Currently only target low comp keyword for my first 100 article. One of my competitor managed to get mediavine invite with no backlink bought (DR less than 10, all of them whitehat according to ahref), so I target some of his keyword


Still no backlink except some manual forum post, Twitter, Quora and reddit backlink

Due to corona and lockdown, I currently can't pay for backlink, but August should be the month I started build backlink for this website

My Backlink Plan in order

1. Social Signal
2. Quora and Reddit backlink
3. Manual niche related forum post
4. Some manual profile link
5. Press Release
6. Guest Post

GSC Last 28 days




Only few click here and there, but most of my are written on June and July, so still in sandbox period

Looks like a well planned journey. You have got the first few things right. Just make sure to get those articles out regularly.

Also, make sure your niche has a few products that you can sell.

Does your niche have products on Amazon or other websites? If it's there then make sure to write some articles with buyer intent.

Also, insert some affiliate links in your info articles. This not only helps you make money from Affiliate, it also increases your RPM on Ad networks.

Thanks for the tips, especially adding affiliate link on the info articles. I had never thought of that.

There are many affiliate opportunity on my niche on both Amazon and affiliate Network like ShareaShale

I will wait until my blog get traffic first before adding the affiliate link

Sorry, I just randomly add related tags on this thread. I haven't applied on Adsense yet on this site. My plan is to finish +75 article first before applying for Adsense (and maybe Ezoic) on this website.

But it shouldn't be too hard to get accepted by Adsense, at least according to my previous experience with Adsense

Hello guys, this is the current status on my website

I deindexed 3 of my post because the quality is too low. Will edit it in the future
Pagespeed Insight: 85/95


For absolutely no reason, my website was deindexed by Bing. Interestingly, none of my competitor are indexed on Bing, except 1 website that have the highest traffic on my niche. Do bing only care about authority?


I had already contact the bing webmaster support, but it seems this problem is common on Bing.

How to check that? The biggest authority website on my niche has 150k traffic according to Ahrefs.

5 Website on my niche has mediavine ads, so their traffic is at least 50k

Cool. I started a similar journey with the same goal.

You seem to have prior experience so I'll follow this to improve my journey.

You said you used blogger and now WordPress. Do you mean WordPress com? As in web 2.0, or you installed wp with hosting and domain?
