How do you mean?

Cheers dude.
I mean survival guides, other guides related to your niche, adding some related products to your articles.

For example, if you're in a hobby niche make a guide with the best hobby-related products for spending time during the quarantine, etc.

Help your dog survive the quarantine for a pets niche, etc.

Build a new home with leftover toilet paper rolls and tools from Amazon, and so on.

Ah right I get what you mean, nah, this is just temporary with any luck so i'm not putting any content out. I only really pull SEO traffic right now so it will take a while to get out of the sandbox and then by that time I am hoping things are going to be starting to get back to normal.

Trying to write relatively viral content for amazon affiliate sites could be really unchartered waters, IMO, unless the niche lends itself nicely.

Looks like the earnings are starting to go up again. Are all the items back in stock?

Also, it will be interesting to find out to see if you zero volume test brings you some traffic.

Yea they have been back in stock for a while, its a bunch of delayed shipping that caused the spike today. The zero search volume keywords should bring traffic, its basically the second run on the test I mentioned in this post back a few pages.

  • Got an email from the brand in the USA who make most of the products for one of my domains saying that they still have stock but are closing down until the second week of April to self-quarantine. They said that the Amazon warehouse should have plenty of stock held and with the dip in buying nothing should be effected long term but time will tell.

Beautiful thread, congratulations!
I have a question for you:
How do you manage the updating of the content on your sites?
Do you update the articles that start to be old?
Or do you leave the site without thinking about updating the posts that have articles that maybe amazon no longer sells or are anyway dated?

Currently I just publish them as is an leave them but I am toying with adding an Advanced Ads plugin short code to the top of relevant articles to allow me to quickly add updates. I have done similar stuff on other domains and it has worked well. For example, I would have one Advanced Ad for "best black pen for x" and one for "best red pen for x" and a new black pen may come out in say 4 months so I update the advanced ad for all relevant best black pen articles saying we now thing that this is the best black pen. A year later a new red pen may come out so I can do the same for that and just update one Advanced Ad box and it will instantly update all pages with that short code on it.

  • Did a little more keyword research for the informational intent domain that I want to do next year between articles. Thankfully answer the public is great for keyword acquisition for informational intent keywords and my normal keyword difficulty analysis system seems to work for it too so I have a nice little bank of keywords built up ready for it now.

On the domain I started in January its just over 100 now, my older sites have a few hundred articles now though :).
Are all article based on Long KWs. If yes, then are you doing link building for each article or just doing KGR method.

HOLY SMOKES!
I read all the way to page 15, and I couldn't hold it in anymore. LOL
BIG Congrats!

I need the motivation to write again. Any advice?
Content is indeed the KING!

I'm on track with trying out my first Amazon aff site, currently on 10k words. Lol, but I'm writing a massive guide, which I aim to get it up to 6k words at least, then build out related pages from there.

Quick question:
How do you carry out your researches? Do you include "references" below each article, do you simply link out to external sources or do you do both?

I would say around 95% of the articles are targeting low comp keywords but they aren't necessarily long tails, there are some solid keywords that I have found that are pretty low comp. Around 5% of the articles are higher competition so I have been doing backlinking to them and to raise the overall domain authority of the domain to help push the other keywords higher in the SERPs too.

I don't use KGR, I have tried some KGR test batches previously but they are not as good as using my own keyword research method. KGR hs a number of weaknesses about it these days that I point out in the video below, additionally, the example keyword batch in the video are all KGR compliment but are all very high competition and I doubt that anyone will be able to rank for them without putting a ton of backlinking in.

I don't link to reference or anything like that and I know the primary niches that I write about pretty well already as I have been involved in them for years so I don't really need to do much research for them anyway. Not sure how helpful it will be but the video below might help you churn your content out quicker but I have no tips to stay motivated :( With the whole virus scare thing going on traffic, CTR, and CR is all down so its hard for me to get motivated too :p.
