[Journey] Build a profitable POD Brand with $200 Budget.

This is already my second Journey, my first thread is on hold until I have some money for it.

Background
Bankrupt and got back to my parent's home. From making 3/4k a month to literally zero per month. Managed to save a little bit of money to start again, $200 is all I have.

Plan
I found a good niche that is kinda new. Selling on eBay only, no other website is offering this kind of personalized / customized products.
I'm planning to build a brand / store for it. And Promote it with IG / Pinterest / shootouts and ads when I get some sales going.
Already found 2 designers that I'm working with now to prepare the designs, it costs me 6 bucks per 1 design and i need around 12 designs or 15 to start with.

I will use PayPal only for now when I start, then setup a company and stripe when I get some sales.

My problem now is what to choose, Shopify or WooCommerce
for Shopify, it has the 3 months for 1 dollar, but I will have to pay for customization apps, and they are not cheap, buy you get many things ready to go, for example emails I have to buy an SMTP to use on WooCommerce since I can't use my server to send emails.
For WooCommerce, I can start with nulled plugins and themes. Main pro is I can use WooCommerce payments if I got the LTD as a backup for stripe. I cant do that with Shopify payments as they require the person to be living in the US or supported countries.


Let me know if you have any question and let me know what do you prefer, Shopify or WooCommerce for a low budget and why.

Best of luck after going through bankruptcy. I'm starting off my own POD journey as well after a couple months of taking in knowledge and deciding on something to focus on. I'd say given your situation to go with WooCommerce because it's just cheaper and much more customizable if you have some know how. Shopify is marketed as beginner friendly but those prices are for the big boys with a vetted product imho.

Sounds like a solid plan! Don't get stuck with analysis paralysis.

Just get started with Ebay and get sales then everything will fall into place.

hi you can have shopify for 4 months trail with blm trail take a look

How is it going? I started local website where i have digital downloads and print on demand products. Not many products yet and no sales but i think i hVe some rankings. Defenitely easier than doing english content.

I chose woocommerce. Here its rather easy to start business as i dont need real business and can work as invidual to certain point.

I decided to get yearly creative fabrica plan as i find a lot of content from there. I then translate and do downloadables and POD products from those.

Some products i offer for free but it requires registration and email verification. I hope it would attract users and give possibility to market new products to them with email marketing.

Small Update:
Partner didn't want to continue in this. Just ghosted me, 80/100 designs are done. Still need some backgrounds for them.
Will start to design Shopify store today.

You still need a partner on this? I have capital to fund/scale. You can check out my current Etsy POD journey as well.

Is POD still as thing ? It was on its peak few years before but I hardly see anyone making it big with POD now.
