Hello, and welcome to this journey where I will try to crack the code of semantic SEO and create a blueprint for topical authority.

To keep an account of this journey and bring value to the forum, I have created this journey thread. Through this thread, I will document the effects of Semantic SEO and share my findings, results, and small golden nuggets of knowledge.

As you might or might not know, a course on this topic has recently been published, which has generated a lot of discussion and popularity on the forum. I won't mention the course by name, as the purpose of this thread is to share my knowledge and insights, not to advertise any particular brand, tool, or service however I will be following it.

Below you see subheadings explaining the different aspects of this journey.

At present, my top priority is completing the course that I am currently undertaking. As of the 20th of May 2023, I have not yet finished this course, and I intend to dedicate my time and effort to this task until it is complete.

Once I have completed the course or progressed further toward its later stages, I will begin to apply the teachings in practice on two brand-new websites. These websites have no existing content, history of content, or backlinks. One website will be in English and the other in Swedish, semantic SEO is language-agnostic or language-neutral if you will. I will not disclose the niches of these websites, however, they will not be YMYL.

As I undertake this work, I will carefully document my actions, the results that I achieve, and any insights that I gain along the way.

I will strive to establish clear benchmarks and objectives to guide me in this work, and I will always be looking for ways to improve my results and achieve better outcomes.

  • I will not build backlinks to the websites
  • I will not try to cheat or manipulate the results in any way
  • I will not be using AI to write the content of the website however I may use it to help with background research for the articles
  • I will only use unique and original images created by me
  • I will not outsource any content writing

You can anticipate monthly updates from me, though sometimes I may update more or less frequently. Please note that I will not adhere to a strict schedule for updates; if I have nothing important to share, I won't waste your time or mine.

Regardless of your current level of SEO knowledge or skill, my ambition is for you to learn something with each update, no matter how big or small.

Please refrain from asking me to share or leak any course content. I will not do so, and it would be a waste of your time to ask.

It's important to note that the information I share will not be directly from the course, but rather insights I've gained from it.

Thank you for your understanding.

At present, I do not have a specific timeframe for this journey. However, I estimate it to take roughly 1-2 years. Rest assured that I am fully committed to this journey and will dedicate the necessary time and effort to ensure its success.

I would like to encourage you all to engage in a lively discussion of the content presented in this thread. Please feel free to ask questions, reflect on the topics, and share your insights. However, I kindly request that we refrain from discussing the course content explicitly.

Let's strive to maintain a positive and respectful atmosphere as we learn from each other. I believe that we can all benefit from this journey together, and I hope to see you all here in the future.

After spending most of last year researching this very subject, I'll be watching your progress with interest. Good luck on your journey!

Not sure what's in your course, but after testing some semantic ideas on one site, I'm now building a fresh site using the parts that worked.

Side note: I got super hung up on entity relationships, and wasted a lot of time. It's never the actual words, but the intent.

Nice, will be interesting to follow .. =)
Love the design.
Good luck with your journey bro!
Interesting journey. Following :)
Was a great design, looking forward to seeing how a purely content powered journey goes this end!

I've got a lot of questions, hopefully this thread can answer them without them being asked. Best of luck big man.

Good luck man.

How much content are you gonna write for each website to see the results?
Thank you all!
As for the amount of content, it depends on how the topical maps turn out, but I will try to keep it below 100 articles per website since there's a lot of manual work and research going into it.

I have been taking notes myself and combining it with community notes from another course member, resulting in a decently comprehensive note system for semantic seo, though it is not finished yet. You can see it and the internal linking between notes in the graph below.

I also bring some light bedtime reading for you all that I think will help you understand semantic seo a bit more, it certainly helped me.

Until next update, cheers!

Sheesh... So it does turn out that I know nearly nothing about bottom end of topical maps... There's a lot to think about with that graphic alone, then it's on to the articles...

Should bring a lot of tears to future projects :D

Good luck on the journey. Thank you for providing you insights and learning material. I'm also learning about the topics and how to apply it on my websites.
