I have not seen a single shred of evidence that they do blackhat link building on their domains. Besides that, I don't care about the marketing gimmicks like your site will never get hit by an update, etc. Bad things happen!

The thing I like about their approach is that it is repeatable and scalable. Most people building links to their sites would not be able to repeat the results or scale it.
By having a content dominant approach you are doing what google wants you to do and by this you are removing the uncertainty of SEO.

I wouldn't say I'm a skeptic. I think they gloss over some things and are sometimes prone to hyperbole. But I think their ideas about great content are solid and there are some good nuggets and info in almost every video.

But really, vacuums are $400, who is going to buy 10-20 vacuums to do a good review article comparing the brands. Only sites with deep pockets or that are already successful.

Yet they are selling the course as an "anyone can do it from home" formula.

A lot of seemingly simple affiliate sites are actually financed and backed by large companies with deep pockets and teams of employees. For the beginner or solopreneur I think it is much better to find less competitive niches and keywords. Or find a unique twist that gets you attention, like "This is Why I'm Broke".

Your point is right on "damn good posts on low-density keywords".

It's amazing what one social media post can do. I posted one link on a relevant Facebook group yesterday " Free Study Guides" and the Ezoic revenue tripled ( the study guides were already on my site)

Nice of you to say Doob. We all need encouragement from time to time.

So, with that said, here's Experiment #872:

You've seen how well my Meme page experiment worked on my radiology site (you'll have to go back through the history on this thread to find it.)
It drives tons of traffic to my site when I post links to it in Facebook relevant groups. It has also picked up a SERP spot for radiology memes.

Well, what does the internet love more than memes?

    ANIMALS! -

So I created a Page on my kayak blog specifically for dogs. I posted it in a relevant Facebook group and will report the results back at the end of the day.

Added a Kayak Meme page yesterday: https://kayak-101.com/kayak-memes/
Added Kayaking with Dogs page today: https://kayak-101.com/kayaking-with-dogs/

    upload_2020-2-12_13-31-38.png

I add Amazon Affiliate ads about every 2-3 memes/images. Google Adsense or Ezoic ads should be popping up in there too.

Nice. It looks like your experiments are actually doing something. It's always good to check in and see how you are innovating and trying new tactics.

@Big Ron I think it's time to design some dog-kayak t-shirts and mugs. Seriously. If you don't, I will... :);)

    Hi Big Ron,

Sorry if I'm troubling you. I recently came across Income School and thought of trying their method. Sadly I could not read the whole thread (75 pages :( ) But I'm guessing this screenshot is not related to the your Income School process site. If so kindly let me know your progress with income school method. Thanks.

You buy all of the products in a niche to make YouTube videos.

    Examples:
    Vacuum Wars - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvavJlMjlTd4wLwi9yKCtew/featured
    VacuumAdvisor - https://www.youtube.com/user/VacuumAdvisor/featured

Search Google for vacuum cleaner model reviews. You'll see a video carousel in the first spot for review, vs, comparison, tested, dislike, like, roundup, and top X keywords.

Buying the vacuum cleaners is the easiest, fastest, and cheapest way to get into the top three spots for keywords in the niche. You also get the benefit of being included in the second largest search engine (YouTube).

How much would the links cost to get a vacuum review article into the number 4 spot? That's the highest spot an article can rank.

Also, one channel can take up multiple video results spots. Theoretically, you could rank 3 different videos in the top 3 spots for a keyword.

I do agree with you about the startup cost being a barrier. I think that's a good thing if you have the money and are willing to do a substantial amount of testing and video work. If you don't have the money, its time to start putting in work that gets results.

Yes, that screenshot is niche #2. It's just getting off the ground. I still approve of the Income School methodology. Especially since they are proactive in changing their model. I'll PM you more details when I get back home. I'm a few hours north at a basketball tournament.

I saw the first few minutes of the video today and I know that they are trying to specify that it is about reviews only but have they said anything about their informational posts in any of their videos? The pet site they built has an article on its front page right now called "Rottweiler Temperament: What’s it Like Owning One?" and I am curious if the Income School guys or the guy they had write the article have actually lived with a Rottweiler before putting the article out. They have articles about various dog breeds being good with kids or not too. Personally, I much rather the information about a new potential pet interacting with my child is correct rather than if a guy writing about a $50 backpack has actually used it or not.

I'm probably a little late to the game but I have created an excel spreadsheet chart to start logging my keyword results in SERPs. All I do is download the keyword ranking from UberSuggest into an Excel spreadsheet. Then sort based on Position.

So my question in this post is "If you are counting your keywords that show up on page one of SERPs, do you stop counting at Position 6?"

In other words, I think most Page One results of a Google search show at least six results. Because the first page of a Google search also shows the Snippet, sometimes 1-3 YouTube videos, plus the SERP results.

If it was a full page of SERP results, it would probably show all the way up to Position 10.

So is there a general consensus on what Position Rank can be considered a first-page result in the SERPs?

I will use this knowledge to focus on Page 2 SERP result keywords. But I need to know the cutoff for Page 1.

Oh, and is there a BETTER tool for checking your SERP rankings than UberSuggest?

Hi Big Ron, thanks for sharing. I have been following ever since. I am interested to start something similar. What i dont know is your site structure (design). Do you have a custom homepage or is it made of blogposts?
