    That’s the method that project 24 lays out. You build your first sight in 90 days and then stop with an occasional addition. But on month number four you start a second site and build it for 90 days and stop. Then you can either go back to the first niche and make it an authority site or you go onto a third niche site.

    I intend to make the first site and authority site because it is the industry I work in full-time. I should be able to continuously come up with new content. But the theory of making multiple sites make sense to me because what if my first sight tanks. I don’t want to have all of my eggs in one basket.

    I’m speaking at a national conference next week in my professional field. So I made business cards with my logo on it. On the opposite side is a full screenshot of the first slide of my PowerPoint presentation. When people asked me for a copy of my presentation I can defer them to my card which will have the URL to my presentation, my podcast, and my homepage in general. I got a box of them made at Costco for $21. I wanted refrigerator magnets so they were more useful but those only came in a bigger 3 x 5.

    The only thing I can think of is to nix the homepage slider and replace it with one static image. Maybe reduce the blog snippets but I already reduced it down to 9. There's not much more on the homepage.

    I checked your site and i think that the quality of your thumbnails (posts) is to low
    You said you ordered a service - did they change image size/quality?

    Based on the comment that I needed to speed up my page loading, I dumped the four page full-slider on the homepage and left one image with parallax effect. I also reduced the number of blog posts on the homepage from 9 to 6. I also removed the header ad banner.

    They didn't say what they did. All I know for sure is they send me through CloudFlare now. Project 24 has you reduce your image size down to around 350 x X for thumbnails and 900 x X for top of posts. Will low quality images cause a slow page load?

    No, your site will load faster. Put the quality isnt great right now. You can download the plugin Imagify and play around with the quality - they probably changed the size to the minimum
    The named plugin got a mass image changer

    I Had IMagify but I dumped as many plugins as I could to try to speed up page load. I'll go get it again and try it out

    @Big Ron I was talking more about User Experience like @smartdna said. I am watching now on my laptop and I can tell as I dev and designer that you need a little bit do to customizing. For the beginning, change the size of your logo it takes almost 20-30% of screen and it's sticky.

    Btw, what's this empty space? Is this for ad? I couldn't remove this.
    http://prntscr.com/oflmpn

    Let's start with that:

    If it doesn't work, tell me because maybe I made mistake with classes.

    Code:
    .et_header_style_centered #logo {
        max-height: 75%;
    }

    @media only screen and (min-width: 1280px) {

        .et_header_style_centered header#main-header.et-fixed-header .logo_container {
            height: 105px;
        }

        .et_header_style_centered header#main-header.et-fixed-header .logo_container a img {
            max-height: 80%;
        }
    }
    Slider:

    I won't touch this shadow on title, but you can change button:
    http://prntscr.com/oflo90

    Code:
    body #page-container .et_pb_section .et_pb_slider .et_pb_slide_0.et_pb_slide .et_pb_more_button.et_pb_button {
        font-size: 18px;
        font-weight: 600!important;
        background-color: #2b87da;
        background-image: none;
    }
    To change this padding-top: http://prntscr.com/ofloz4 you will need to add class to this section, because now is global:

    Code:
    .et_pb_section {
        padding: 4% 0;
    }
    It would be nicer if it is 0% top. http://prntscr.com/oflpl0

    Articles:

    This shadow is killing my eyes man :D http://prntscr.com/oflpqx

    Code:
    .et_pb_blog_0 .et_pb_post .entry-title {
        text-align: center!important;
        text-shadow: none!important;
    }

    .et_pb_blog_0 {
        text-shadow: none;
    }

    .et_pb_blog_0 .et_pb_post .more-link {
        font-family: 'ABeeZee',sans-serif;
        font-size: 18px;
        color: #2dbbef!important;
        text-shadow: none;
    }
    You could add more images into your posts, it would be nicer to read. I hope this will help and that you will like it.

    It looks like you have enough people looking at the technical aspects of your site so I'll steer clear of that area. I will say the header is just too large in my opinion but leave it at that. I decided to look at your keyword research and competition analysis.

    Your only two months into this so I wouldn't say you can say if this niche will work for you or not. I took one of your articles (Forensics radiography) and compared you to the competition.

    Firstly your area is dominated by universities which might be hard to rank above but I am no expert in this niche area. I have never gone up against EDU dominated niches before. It will be interesting to see how you go.

    For the article the content score came in as follows (30):

    upload_2019-7-16_17-39-15.png

    Which is really good for this keyword. Its top 4 of the top 20 websites.

    Second your word count came in as

    upload_2019-7-16_17-40-0.png

    word count is a massive contributor to ranking where the content score is also good.

    For this article I would have aimed at 1500+ words pushing you up into the second place.

    Then I would give it time.

    I looked at another article "How Much Does a Traveling Rad Tech Make"

    Another area which is dominated by non-niche related websites that are huge being indeed, etc around career information. Again I am not certain on how you will go against those and whether salary is going to be better served by a career website with huge authority compared to a small niche site. Probably fighting the big boys here too much.

    Anyway your content score was :

    upload_2019-7-16_17-45-48.png

    This is way below where it needs to be. So lets check word count as maybe you smashed it up there:

    upload_2019-7-16_17-46-37.png

    Yep you smashed it on word count the problem is that the analyser thinks you filled in the article with non-useful information. Looking at the article I think you wrote a good article,so maybe it just needs some more keywords in there around the main topic.

    I would revise the article to improve the content score and then let it sit. You need to be above the average with content score else you really have little chance against higher authority web sites. Then you need to be in the top few for word count as well. Either of these high with the other low has been a big indicator to me of pages of mine which have failed. If I am in the top 4-5 on each of these areas I can rank in the top 10. In the top 3 of both these and you can rank in the top couple of spots and get some snippets as well.

    That is my thoughts anyway. Feel free to either take them on board or throw them out.

    @PaulSmithAUS, hey can you, please, share this site/tool with us? I think it's very useful when it comes to analyze competition and your own content. Thank you.

    I had some ideas for your site's logo. Have a look below.

    example.jpg

    Or a more simple look:

    example2.jpg

    PM me if you want to update your logo for free, I'll send you the files. Or you can tell me if you'd like to change something. I removed "Ron" and "Lisa" but if you'd like those in there I can try work it in.

    Great journey a lot of helpful stuff in here.
    Dont really know much about niche, but looking at your site i saw that its focused on those that want to get into your profession,
    Is it not going to be easier focusing on those that needs the services of your profession? Just a thought.
