They were they require 10,000 pages per month and that the website be a minimum of four months old.

I don’t have any plug-ins for ads. All of my ads are from Google.

I will add that in my journey here I show how I got 10,000 page views per month and was able to get on their ad network at four months and four days into the website.

Get to know the quality rater guidelines & E-A-T
Another resource for advice on great content is to review our search quality rater guidelines. Raters are people who give us insights on if our algorithms seem to be providing good results, a way to help confirm our changes are working well.

It’s important to understand that search raters have no control over how pages rank. Rater data is not used directly in our ranking algorithms. Rather, we use them as a restaurant might get feedback cards from diners. The feedback helps us know if our systems seem to be working.

If you understand how raters learn to assess good content, that might help you improve your own content. In turn, you might perhaps do better in Search.

In particular, raters are trained to understand if content has what we call strong E-A-T. That stands for Expertise, Authoritativeness and Trustworthiness. Reading the guidelines may help you assess how your content is doing from an E-A-T perspective and improvements to consider.

Here are a few articles written by third-parties who share how they’ve used the guidelines as advice to follow:
Note: Links to the articles above are not endorsements of any particular SEO companies or services. We simply found the articles themselves to be helpful content on this topic.

    Tip # 897

From time to time, no matter how good you "think" you are... you need to consult someone outside your circle. I had the opportunity to conference call with an SEO expert in Italy a few days ago.

After some small talk, I explained my niche site and where I want to take it. I explained my background in the niche and how I had recently added E-A-T.

Through several questions, he helped me solidify the following action items (out of order but going off memory so...:

    • Continuously work on backlinks. This is an area I have mostly ignored because Income School says not to mess with it. He is aware of IS. His perspective was interesting. He thinks IS only says not to mess with backlinks because most of their membership is brand new to the blogging world and they don't want to bog them down with too much information. He thinks that is why the focus on "content only." It makes sense because we've seen the IS stats and they benefit from tons of backlinks. I have already started reaching out for industry backlinks. I've been on two podcasts (not my own) that will link back to me when published. My articles have already been backlinked once from a vendor in my space and they have a DA of 73. More linkbacks are coming from that vendor. I am also working with others in my field for the same thing. Unfortunately, backlinks take a LONG time to kick in.
    • Move forward on an online video course. He asked me "what do you provide your audience?" In my articles, I help students and people interested in becoming students to learn more about radiology and have successful interviews, better resumes, etc. We talked through the framework of what a video course could look like and he suggested a lower price point than usual (starving students don't make much yet.) He recommended I research what Ramit Sethi has done in this area. When I said I wanted to make $7,000/month+ on this niche, he responded that with a niche as specific as mine, he wasn't sure I'd be able to pull that kind of money from Ads alone. That's why he suggested a video course.
    • Focus on the target audience. We discussed who my target audience was. I have three in my niche of radiology: people already in the field (technologists and administrators), students going to school to be technologists, and people investigating the field of radiology to determine if they want a career in this field. Given that my niche has been focused on the first two since day one, we agreed I should spend little to no time on LinkedIn. LinkedIn only caters to professionals already in radiology. Students and investigators don't really hang out there. I have a big presence on LinkedIn and letting it go was a little difficult but the ROI was zero other than the occasional traffic I would get to my niche by posting an article on LinkedIn with a "Read More of This Article" link halfway through the article.
    • Establish an email list. If you have followed this journey, you know I attempted an email newsletter subscription base very early on. I considered it a failure and have put it on the back burner. But I also thought the Signup Pop Up was slowing down my site so removing it was two-fold: slowing my site down and not generating enough subscriptions. We discussed how I drive a lot of inorganic traffic to my niche from Facebook. While this isn't a bad thing, and Income School says don't bother, he pointed out something important: my fan base, for lack of a better word, on Facebook is not mine to own. If I sell my website in six months (which I won't do), I cannot sell my fanbase with it. Which led to another recommendation: start building an email list. Scrape what I can from FB and perhaps LI and add it to the email list that I started in month 2 when I had the Go Live Contest. Spend more time on-site content and less on interacting. Although, I'm still looking at 90% of my daily traffic is coming from social media. I will continue feeding the social media beast until organic traffic takes over a majority of my total traffic.
Overall he agreed I was moving in the right direction for success (as many of you have said). My E-A-T shows my authority is more than accommodating to Google. He predicted that in three months I would be enjoying 30k+ PV per month. I hope to be farther along but only time will tell. He suggested I continue to focus on niche #1 through the end of the year. Although niche #2 has 21-ish articles, even Income School is now acknowledging that you need to spend more than three months per niche site. They no longer preach that gospel. Google requires more authority going forward and switching gears every three months make it hard to be an authority. Although I'm sure there will continue to be bloggers out there who can make it work. I'm not that good.

So there it is. My big four are: Work on building an email list, continue adding quality content, work on backlinks, and create a video course for additional revenue.

Here are some Angelo's recommendations, maybe they will serve you well. I intend to investigate all of them.

"Was great to chat, I hope my take has been helpful.
Here's the tool to create opt-ins you can start using for free on your blog to capture emails: https://sumo.com (I personally prefer waaay more Thrive Leads, so many more features, and designs, but this you have to pay a one time license)
A cool tool for LinkedIn I use is Lempod, it helps me boost the organic reach of my posts up to 100k views per post. It can be really cool for you as you already have an audience on LI, it will get you so more organic traffic and recognition in the industry... However, as said on the call, if your target market doesn't hang out on Linkedin it might be not that relevant to work on your personal brand at this stage (basics first, organic traffic from Google it's the vital source)
Besides that, here are some cool people in the industry I follow (you prob know already some of them): Matt Diggity (my fav when it comes to affiliate SEO, he touches more advanced topics.) More beginners levels are AuthorityHacker and Nichepursuits"

I didn't get to finish my thoughts on this post earlier, I'm still at work and you know how that goes...

My point in sharing all of that was just to remind you to take a step back every now and then and share with someone outside your circle. Preferably someone with expertise that can help to solve some problems or challenge your mindset. I recommend reaching out to an industry leader to discuss SEO, content creation, advertising, and all the things we work within blogging.

You might find it to be refreshing. I certainly did.

Kind of blown away at 37:40 they say that the most important ranking factor is backlinks and you need to come up with ways to get then.

He so didn't want to say that. it was like he was swearing for the first time and really didn't want to admit that what they taught was only half the picture.

It was a very short and brief statement. But goes against what they have been preaching this whole time.

Now would be a good time to do a summary of all 44 pages. Wish I had that kind of time...

I read them all, so I could try.
Ron started 2 sites and wrote many articles then he became a writer and made lots of money selling content to p24 members, he applied to ezoic and made a lot of money, he got access to project 24 group board and then got kicked out, he tried to make youtube videos on samurai content but it didn't go very well, he also optimize his meme page because he saw it was getting lots of action, he copied content from facebook groups and turned it into articles, he spoke at a conference and promoted his blog there, he shared with us p24 secret youtube channel about guns where they talk about killing some animals, and that's all I can remember.

playing devils advocate they were talking about ranking for local seo keywords(highly competitive) which is a totally different ball game than blogging about niche topics which you are ranking long-tail keywords which still can rank without backlinks.. Thoughts ?

Not much chatter lately on this journey. Don't let it mislead you... I'm just stupid swamped lately.

    Brief updates:

    • Niche #1 is at $92 for Oct so far on Ezoic. $10 on Adsense. $40 from Amazon Affiliate sales. This beats the Income School suggested time line. They anticipate members make their first $5 at 6 months. It is called " Pizza Day." I'm on Month 6 and will make around $150.
    • Bounce rate is down to 75% thank to some study guides for students in my niche.
    • Content Sales is at $530 profit for Oct. I have bought, edited, then sold around 30 articles.
    • I'm writing the framework for a video course to offer on niche #1.
    • YouTube channel subscriber base is up to 93 members.
    • I have 8 Facebook groups in my niche that I belong to. I own one and am the main Mod (only Mod) on another big group (20,000 members).
    • Still working on getting decent backlinks.
    • Need to return to growing my email newsletter membership.
Things are still looking good on the blogging journey. Staying focused is key. Just wish there were more hours in the day.

Side note: as if I'm not busy enough, I'm currently running for City Council. If I get it, it pays $300/mo and would give me first hand (think authority) experience for a political niche blog. SmallTownPolitician.com?

    Tip #994

I still find continuous topics for content on my niche by saving discussions that I read on Facebook groups in my niche. Someone will post a topic and if 30+ people comment, then I "Save" the topic for future use.

When I get time, I scroll through the saved conversations and pick one to write about.

Or I'll post a Poll on FB and use all the responses to craft a post.

I common poll is what are the best shoes to wear for Healthcare workers. Everyone chimes in, then I write a post:

    https://theradiologictechnologist.c...echs-faqs-tips-costs-comparisons-yeezy-bonus/

It's a helpful post because it sums up all the opinions. But it gets clicks to Amazon too. Win-win.

Same thing about the protective lead we wear in Radiology:

    https://theradiologictechnologist.com/x-ray-tech-lead-buyers-guide/
