[JOURNEY] Amazon Affiliate is still alive!

Interesting journey and will definitely follow it, but I'm going to be one of nay-sayers. Sure, Amazon Affiliation is not dead, but it is on its last leg and will be dead very, very soon. Their forums are empty, nobody talks about it, my competitors (and myself, to a certain measure) have removed lots of Amazon affiliation links. Looking forward to be proven wrong . Good luck!

UPDATE:
This week I visited my family and friends on the other side of the country, so I had not that much time to work on the Website. I still did some things though:

- I set up a site structure in excel.
- I created all the sites on my wordpress site (39 sites total) and I set up a silo structure for all of them.
- I finished designing the landingpage and set up all images and texts. Now I have to finish all the sub sites and add the amazon links. I will make a tracking campaign for each sub site, so that I can track which of my sub sites makes the most earnings. That way I can do much targeted optimizing
- I also added a blog site. This will be the site that will have regular updates and daily new articles.
- Also all of the images I used i already compressed and added alt tags so that I dont have to do it later on.

The site isnt public yet, so I have also no traffic and no conversions yet.

To do this week:

- Finish designing all sites and add tracked affiliate links
- start writing blog articles
- Manually google index the site
- Hand grow quality backlinks

Amazon affiluate is not dead BUT it"s just not worth it anymore.

Update:

A lot of things happened in my personal life, which affected the time I had to follow this journey. But now I have news for you:

The website is nearly "finished". I know a website is never finished but for a start it is enough, so when customers come to my site they will see some good content and hopefully be convinced enough to click on the amazon links. For now the website is still in maintenance mode. After I finished all of the initial content, I will do the big start and go into the Google ranking battle with a big boom! (And also hopefully a big boom right into christmas time, so many people buy stuff)

Next step after that will be manually building high quality backlinks that will drive some traffic to my niche-site.

I will hand grow a niche website that will use amazon affiliate program for monetization. As I don't want to lay all eggs into one basket, I will also try to monetize it with amazon MBA and KDP later in the process, when the site starts to gain traction.

The niche is one that I already worked with 3 years ago. Then I started studying, moved into the other corner of my country and had not much time left to take care of my old website. So now I'm back in the old niche to prove that not only this niche isn't dead, but amazon affiliate isn't dead too.

I made this thread to motivate myself to work hard every day on the new website. I will update you regularly with traffic insights and amazon affiliate sale insights. This time I wont give up, it's time to make something cause the weather sucks, clubs and bars are closed because of covid and I'm bored to hell right now.
