Good evening, everyone.
I am making this post so that I can have a diary of this experience regardless of how it goes.

A week ago I bought a domain on GoDaddy and moved hosting to Hostwind.
I bought a theme and a plugin for embedding videos from wp-script, fixed a few things to make the site presentable and started uploading videos.

The niche I am aiming for is that of a particular state, the one in which I live. The theme of the site is generic porn anyway. I know it's tough but I don't have a problem with it, I want to see where I'll get to.
The days go by and I've studied some SEO, installed Yoast and fixed the SEO of the pages in each category and the most popular tags. To choose the keywords I did various searches on SEMRush and on average the KWs have difficulty around 20-22 ( some less some more ).

I have opened a twitter profile where once a day I post a gif I create from a video of my choice with the site logo on the bottom right. I have few followers and I haven't received many visits from twitter but I don't worry because I don't want to base my visits on the twitter profile. I can't be dependent on that and maybe one day I'll get banned and my visits will go to hell. I'll be patient and see how much I can rank on google.

For my part I have a little trick up my sleeve: without knowing it I bought a domain with a name that used to be used by a very big porn site (about 70k monthly searches in the last year), but with a different top level domain. This site was closed because it regularly posted copyrighted material and was not reopened. I am already starting to rank well in the SERPs of those who still search for that site.

Today I created a very nice logo that I am very proud of because it fits so well :D

Last thing: so far I have uploaded just over 400 videos, embedding them mainly from xnxx and redtube. I check each video to make sure it's nice and I give priority to those with protagonists from my country; I edit each title making it personal and original.

This is a summary of everything I have done so far.
I am averaging about 30 visitors a day and all my pages are indexed on Google.

I won't even think about monetisation until I have a consistent flow of users and a good ranking in Google results.
It's been a week and I feel like I've learnt a lot, the more I learn the more I realise there's a lot more to learn.

I will update anything relevant that happens here, answer your questions and listen to any advice you may have.

Regards

This will take some time, why not just scrap some redgifs and add logo in batch processing? If you do an AI upscaling and interpolation, it helps spoof some algorithms and advertise site quality

You mean to post them on twitter?

Anyway that's not time consuming at all: I made a script where I only have to put the link of the video and the start time-end time of the part I want to make a gif with.

Inspecting video and selecting right clip will consume most time, and depends on how you're planning to scale this it may consume more and more. I would rather use GIF just for banners, you can post on Twitter MP4/WEBM? files, they will preserve quality much better

Sorry maybe I did not explain myself well before.
The twitter thing is an excuse to get people to click on a link. I post a gif that is meant to encourage people to click through to see the whole video. It's a gif that doesn't show everything that happens, I try to make it so that together with the title it arouses curiosity. I do one a day at the moment: some went well, others zero. For me it's not heavy because I inspect all the videos before I post them anyway, I remember which ones are noteworthy and I choose where to cut them. It's a lot faster than it looks.

Whether it will also be profitable ... we'll see.
Surely if I had more followers on twitter a lot of people would click on it. at the moment I have about twenty.

good luck with you journey do you have a plan for dmca?

Thank you. I honestly don't have a plan. However I use an embedder so I am allowed to embed the videos I take, and I try to choose them in such a way that I don't have problems.

Goodluck on your journey! What is your plan to monetize? This is something I have put off doing myself but eventually want to get to

Thanks. As I said in the first post I will think about that when I'll start getting a consistent influx of organic users

embedding would keep you from having to worry to much about dmca but do you worry about the user going to the source of the video instead of watching on your site?

That's the price I pay for not having worries. If there is one thing that bothers me, it is that the quality of the embedding is often pitiful. At least I don't have to waste time hosting things etc.
I trust that visitors like the selection of videos I make for them :)

Are you married? How to do this while single, any suggestions?

Google Analytics: Users / New users / Number of events / Average length of the engagement. This last one metrics is a bit concerning, imho it could depend by the fact that people still search for the old site (they leaked onlyfans) but they find my site where I post legal content. Any suggestion? Is the increasing number of visits still useful for ranking purposes or does the duration of the involvement have a significant influence?
thank you.
