First of all I want to say thank you to everybody on BHW. If it wasn't for this forum and the many golden nuggets I've come across on here over the past few years I wouldn't know any of what I know now.
My Background:
I started out as a guy just trying to build a website years ago to market myself as an illustrator but hated the business model as it ate up a shitload of my time. After that I worked a bunch of jobs I hated wondering what I wanted to do. I knew I wanted to make a lot of money but didn't know the how's or what's yet.
I started reading up on affiliate marketing and even dabbled in it half ass but only made a few hundred bucks using ppc (back when G was the wild wild west) but never scaled up because...well...it seemed unstable to me. Time passed while I worked more jobs I hated but all the while I was teaching myself WordPress and taking websites apart, looking at source code, etc. to give myself a head start if I ever decided to jump back in to i.m.
Fast forward to 2012 and believe it or not I landed myself a job as an affiliate manager with a pretty legit network (I bluffed my way into the job to get on the job training) and learned a lot about the ins and outs of the game. I made a lot of useful contacts and gleaned a lot of info from the president of the network and saw huge potential. Dude was a millionaire and talked about his $50k checks he used to get from running cj offers with adwords in the old days.
I quit the aff network a few months later and started building websites as a freelance developer but hated dealing with the buying public. I'm an introvert and sort of anti-social so I decided to pick i.m. back up to creative passive income streams where I wouldn't necessarily have to deal with the public in my business model. And as I see on BHW there are others like me.
Anyways, I've spent the past 2 years refining my knowledge and skills, making thousands of dollars in lumps. But I haven't been consistent, often holding on to a method too long instead of evolving, growing my knowledge base, and moving on. Some wise words I've come across on BHW were "use methods until you can outgrow them and then build an actual business". I haven't done that.
My best day in i.m. I made $1,212 spamming a shitty social network full of low hanging fruit with dating and cam offers which was in 2013 using my own twists on methods I found on BHW. I went from using macros in multiple browsers to buying UBot (not paid to say that) and building more advanced bots.
As of late my traffic geyser that's kept me going has all but dried up. With new filters and other stuff to stop me it's cost me money and time playing chess with their programmers. So now I'm out to conquer the REAL social media platforms. Fb, tw, tmblr, pntrst, etc.
So no I won't be using SEO nor am I one of you SEO geniuses. I wish I was but I have more experience in social media so I'm going with what I know to start out. Hopeful I can be one of you SEO doctors one day though. lol Ok on to the important shit...
Why I'm Making This Thread:
Even though i.m. is now my thing I still find a lot of the trivial work boring. I can automate a lot of shit and I do. But boredom makes for easy distractions and oftentimes makes me want to somehow connect my distractions to my i.m. efforts to justify not being productive if that makes sense.
Creating a journey thread creates accountability. There is something in all of us that makes us perform better when we know our actions will help lead others to results.
Reaching $10k/month without a job will be a huge accomplishment for me and give me a jolt into scaling up my whole business.
I love the community on here and look forward to making friends if I'm able to.
This is my way of giving back to the community after years of just reading.
Goal:
$350/day - $10/month+...Although with my tools and knowledge I should break through this with ease. My aim is to create and expand a whole media empire with minimal manpower.
Tools:
20 Domains with WP installed
Hostwinds VPS
VPN
Aged Social Media Accounts (aged since 2012)
UBot (professional version for automating as much as I can)
Followliker (all 4 modules)
Camtasia (video edit software)
Instant Article Wizard (super fast content scraper)
Mindjet (for project mapping)
Mighty Content Locker (content locking script)
Social Locker (content locking to share on social media)
SNAP Autoposter WP Plugin (for simultaneous share across all social platforms)
Evernote (for saving clippings of useful content)
Galaxy S6 with G Docs app (for article dictation using bluetooth headphones)
IFTTT (to aggregate RSS feeds)
G Drive (for storing logins/content etc.)
2 Top Of The Line Laptops
A bunch of websites and scripts for minor tasks that I'll try to list as I go along.
What I've Done So Far:
Built 20 WP websites complete with my own graphics, scraped offers, creatives, email optins, etc. About 5 of them are authority sites. A few are around topics I'm interested in, most of 'em aren't. My sites are in pretty much all verticals:
- adult
- weightloss
- mma
- making money online
- humor
- credit advice
- women's retail
I've created fb fanpages, twitter profiles, tumblr blogs, pinterest profiles, g+ pages, yt channels, etc around all wp sites, built the profiles with graphics and all, and have connected them to their respective sites via the SNAP wp plugin. All tested and ready to go.
Documented somewhat of a web dev flow/content scraping and curation flow to regiment and automate. Although this is still a work in progress.
I've built my own bots in UBot for social media account creation, content scraping, and the most important, posting content to social media through the SNAP plugin. Building up my library of source code for this shit has literally taken years.
Gameplan:
Post useful and or engaging, original content across all 20 sites posting 3-5 times a week per site. Post on average 5-10 times per day across all social media per site. Note that a wp post is different than posting a meme from the SNAP dashboard to all social media.
Automate as much of the flow as possible with UBot. Regardless if it's content scraping, posting, or marketing tasks that I don't do with other software. I've spent the past 2 years learning UBot among other things and I'm to the point where I can build whatever bot for whatever task now.
Monetize with around 5-10 networks depending on offer availability and vertical. I'm using Maxbounty, W4, Amazon, CJ, Clickbank, and others. All great companies I've made money with in the past. Just now I'm scaling up and taking it to the next level.
Run Followliker 24/7 on all my brand accounts (accounts connected to their respective wp sites) and the sub accounts who will retweet/reblog etc from the brand accounts.
Run around 50 accounts per social platform in Followliker. So that's 200 accounts. (50x4)
Share my progress with BHW as often as I can...which I hope will be every other day or so. And also answering as many questions as I can. (Obviously I'm not going to be giving you my sites or exact niches.)
Where I'm At Now:
Right now I'm at the phase where I'm scraping as much useful content as I can for every site. I hate outsourcing shit so I do all my own graphics and content creation. I know I'll have to outsource in the future but in these beginning stages of building brands I want to control how everything looks and feels out of the gate as well as get a feel for what my audiences want.
Since I want the foundation content to be as high quality as possible I'm doing all the heavy lifting myself and minimizing automation. As I get into the flow I'll be automating more. But when you build your own automation it's always best to learn the flow yourself until you really get it down. This helps when it comes time to build a bot.
My Resolve:
This won't be a thread that gets buried and forgotten about in the pile of buried and forgotten about journey threads. Obviously you see by what I've typed above that I'm not playing around and know exactly what I'm about to do. I've spent a nice lil' chunk of change and even more in time learning this shit and getting everything in place to set myself up for success. "I've burned all bridges behind me to build a city" as they say so trust and believe...I'm seeing this through to completion.
With that said thanks for joining me on this journey. I hope to make this one of those threads that become legendary on the greatest forum on the net BHW.
LET'S DO THIS SHIT.
