    Hey,

NOT ANOTHER QUITTER JOURNAL , I never abandon my journal and i never give up. For Proof Check my other threads

Today i started a Facebook PPC campaign with the money i earned last month . I have around $250 to invest if the campaign goes well .If not, i will see where to stop.

Started with Spenser's style .let see how it goes. After Puttin the canpaign on active i came to BHW to start this thread.

I will post my progress via IMAGES as it goes. hopefully by next 15 min i will have Enought stats to Post my progress Here.

    My Method:

As i mentioned it like Spensor's guide.
NOT a DOG or PET niche. But something else.

My curent niche dont have related offer so i have no choice bu to create a contest between two entities and lure the visitors to vote for their favourite and claim a free IPOD/IPHONE

I started with 10 ads , all approved.

will post my progress soon :)

Nice! I have an ad running for a fan page, which I thought would be damn successful. Only 24 liked it so far, in 2 days, and spent $6.

Are you directing someone to a Facebook Fan page or directly to an offer?

Facebook isn't approving my ads. They aren't even rejecting them..

    Haha okay.

IS it an email submit? Test the offer yourself on another computer ONCE, and see if it'll convert for you.

OR, you can play around with iFrame and such? Not sure.

Hit me up pm and we can share advice (I've been at it the last few weeks on FB PPC). I have a lot of pretty decent advice and as a fellow person who just started, understand some of the issues.

    Here's a list of advice:

Make another account and add that person as admin. That ways if one account is deleted, you have a backup (learned this the hard way).

Facebook is not meant to be a selling platform (but it seems you already got that down with the survey).

For me so far, flat investing in money is at a loss BUT go buy $50 vouchers. It's 3 bucks and one of the best investments. It'll be hard to make 50, but $10 dollars should be easy, which gives you an additional $150.

Join the Facebook marketing bootcamp. You get 25 bucks after 2 or 3 days, and if you get 100 facebook fans you get another 100 (100 fans is really easy to get). So essentially the 3 dollars gives you $175 worth of ad money.

You're only going to get great CTR on hot topics or very very specific ads.
For example: I had a terrible ad campaign for a women's health product. I then made 10 ads with different pictures. Then took the two most popular ones and separated them by age in brackets of 3. Eventually I found one ad that was great and recently it's giving me a 3% CTR.

A good CTR =/= a good conversion rate. In fact I find most of my ads with great CTR and low cpc to do the worst converting wise. Mainly because I misled them in my ad and FB folks are not there to sign up or buy stuff. That said, my current women's campaign is giving me a 12% conversion and gaining a bit of momentum.

My other campaign (which I no longer am doing CPA offers for) is something I actually am passionate on (aka I'm an actual fan) and it has an amazing CTR (I think 0.4%?).

Also, remember with a good fan page it's about engaging in social interaction and content (pages are basically like one page websites hosted on Facebook).

Additionally, don't be discouraged about followers if at first it seems low. Facebook is a GREAT viral platform. It grows exponentially. For instance, I'm getting 200 fans per day on my best page daily (I've only made it 3-4 days ago) and it's increasing still.

If you make a new fanpage, list it as a brand and website. The reason is, if it gets too big (50k members) and you have a name like Modern Warfare 3, Facebook could take it away. If you name it like Modern Warfare 3 fans, and then it gets popular, register a similar website and FB would have a much harder time doing so :).

I wish you the best of luck and make sure to check out some of the guides here.

Looking at your CTR, it's really good. But with such low conversions you're obviously doing one of two things wrong (I'm at 84 likes on a quick page I made with no experience in women's health and it's a 12% conversion- now the CTR is a bit low though):

Are you being honest in your ad? Don't make it sound spammy, but don't lie either. Do something like think character 1 is better than character 2? Then vote here!

Keep them in facebook (iFrames static html app). Direct them to the fan page static html page with a survey on it. Mention below if they click like before they fill the survey, they have a chance to win an ipod. Then under the fan only view, iframe your offer.

Take your most popular ads and separate them into age groups AND keep the main one too. See what works, etc. etc.

They aren't reviewing my ads.. I don't know why.

    :/

I'm trying to mix things together and maybe get another niche.

No. Each new ad will start over with the CPC. But it would defeat the purpose if they didn't. You're trying to find narrow down the successful ads even further. And it doesn't require you to stop your most popular ad. Just take the really good one->create ad x10-20 times splitting the age demographic. The more detailed you can get your audience the better. However, do chat with me on AIM or something because your how low cpc/high ctr ads may actually be working against you conversion wise.

@rowebil- post up a sample ad if you are going to switch niche so I can see if I can help. Sometimes FB takes longer, it happens (nothing longer than a day for me though). Once you get one ad approved similar ads get approved way faster (for me ~10 minutes or less, often a minute or two).

I have no experience with FB ads and was thinking of starting a campaign myself. How are you tracking statistics against what facebook is providing your (if you have your own landing page does it provide referer info that you can track in Google Analytics?)
