    Hey everyone,

Since there are no active journals on BHW at the moment and the ones that popped up recently died within a couple of days, I would like to use this chance to start my own journal.

I have been in the IM game for over two years now and I had limited success. I made a few thousand dollars with Clickbank back in the day when article marketing was still profitable and I still make a few sales here and there from my old articles and sites.
I also make a few dollars weekly from Peerfly CPA offers even though I spent only a few hours more or less just playing around with Youtube.
Currently, my most consistent source of income is an incentive-based site monetized via C P A Lead surveys that I bough from Flippa a month ago. This site makes anywhere from $4-15 on daily basis and about $150/month but has a potential to make A LOT more than that.

So all in all, I am making some money on auto-pilot at the moment but I'm not anywhere close to where I'd like to be.

I believe there are 3 reasons for this:

    • I am an EXTREMELY lazy person
    • I like to "test" 10 methods at a time instead of focusing on 1 or 2 methods and doing them properly
    • I spend hours reading BHW although I have enough knowledge about IM already (at least for now) and all there is left to do is to TAKE ACTION.
So I am really hoping that starting a journal will finally help me get off my lazy a$$ and get on track.

The goal is to be making $50/day by the end of September.

These are going to be my sources of income:

C P A Lead (my incentive based site): consistent $15/day
    Peerfly (Youtube traffic): $15/day
Clickbank (niche site + organic traffic): $100/week = $14/ day
    Adscend Media (Youtube traffic): $5/day
    Total = $49/day = $1470/month

I will also occasionally offer article writing services on various IM forums to make some money while these methods pick up. Earnings from freelancing will not be counted into daily income. They will be invested into sites/advertising/tools for methods that generate passive income.

Since this post is getting too long I will talk about how I am going to achieve these earnings in the next posts. The first post is going to talk about how I'm going to (try to) achieve $100/week with Clickbank.

    Stay tuned! ;)

    CLICKBANK

In this post I am going to explain my strategy for generating $15/day from Clickbank.

Currently I am running 1 wordpress blog (own domain) , in the dating niche which is monetized by selling a CB related ebook. That's as much as I can tell you about the niche/product.

I created this blog around two years ago when I was starting with IM and since then I didn't really do anything with it. It has a nice theme and contains around 6-7 unique articles written by me.

I paid $250 to have it SEO optimized (on site and off site SEO) but the guy did I a sloppy job and then stopped replying to my emails/phone calls... It has been dancing around page 2-3 for my main keyword ever since until the Google Panda update after which it shot up to Page 1(am I the only BHW member who gained something from that update? :D)

Now my site is sitting on 6th postion on the first page in Google for my main keyword which receives 33,100 global monthly searches, out of which 18,100 are from the US.

Unfortunately, it seems that sites on the bottom half of the results page really don't receive that much attention. These are my visitor stats for the last month:[IMG]

However, the good news is as I said, not much SEO has been done yet for the site so there is a good chance that I can push the site higher in the SERPS with a bit of help from Article Marketing Robot, Scrapebox and some manual white hat SEO.

For now, I am setting my goal with this site to 100 unique visitors per day.

Secondly, I will have to improve the site's conversion rate. In the last month, I had 670 unique visitors and just 1 SALE, that's an unnaceptable conversion rate.

To improve that, I am going to set up an email campaign on my site. Visitors are going to be offered a FREE REPORT on the topic and once I have their email address I should be able to achieve a much better conversion rate. (I will talk about the email campaign in detail when I set it up)

The goal is to achieve a 30% sign up rate for my email campaign and to convert at 1:50 signed up users. I think these are quite realistic expectations.

    So let's do the math:

    100 unique visitors a day = 3000 unique visitors a month
    x 0.3 = 900 sign-ups
    900/50 = 18 sales
    x $25/sale = $450 month
    450/30 = $15/ day

So the plan for the next few days is to:

    1. Create a FREE report for my visitors
    2. Implement the email campaign on my website (using pop-up window and sign-up form in the sidebar of my website)
    3. Create a series of automated emails that are going to be sent to my list.
    4. Add some fresh, keyword rich content to the site (3 300 word posts should do it)
    5. Build backlinks (Blackhat seo: Scrapebox + AMR) (White hat: Manual comment posting on high PR blogs)
    6. Tweak the site to achive the best sign-up rate

Now I better get to work! Will update you guys in the evening (European time).

    Good luck mate.

Having a journal is a good idea as it'll show the progress you're making which should motivate you. But the main thing here is accountability. You're putting yourself out there for everyone to see, so it should drive you even more to succeed.

Sounds like the best journal for me that I've read in a long time. Please do update it with details as often as possible. :)

I'm especially interested in your incentive based site, and how you drive traffic from Youtube. I've been so much focused on SEO and Adsense lately that I have very little knowledge of the CPA world, and alternative ways of getting traffic. One has to diversify though. :)

Will check back regularly, and although I did hit the Thanks button, I can't not say Good Luck! :p

Looks like a solid journal. Its good to set goals that are are realistic and in line with current earnings. It seems that you've done that :)

Keep this journal updated and use it as an area to reflect once you hit your goal, which I don't doubt you'll do.

Thanks guys for the encouragement, really appreciated! Today I have been working pretty much the whole day and got quite a bit of work done. I still need to work on focusing on the work instead of checking BHW and my stats but I'm improving. :)

Here is what I completed today:

    1. Create a FREE report for my visitors (DONE)
    2. Implement the email campaign on my website (using pop-up window and sign-up form in the sidebar of my website)
    3. Create a series of automated emails that are going to be sent to my list. (DONE)
    4. Add some fresh, keyword rich content to the site (3 300 word posts should do it) (IN PROGRESS, 2 posts remaining)
    5. Build backlinks (Blackhat seo: Scrapebox + AMR) (White hat: Manual comment posting on high PR blogs)
    6. Tweak the site to achive the best sign-up rate
Unfortunately I couldn't implement the campaign because my domain expired today and my site is currently offline. I quickly renewed the domain and I am praying that it goes back online tomorrow so I don't lose my SERPS. This just shows how disorganized I am...

Anyway, if the site goes live tomorrow I should be able to complete points 2 and 4 on the checklist and start working on SEO.

First of all, thank you. I will do my best to update this thread everyday until I reach the goal. I hate when someone starts an intesting journal and then stops updating it in just a few days.

I will share more detail about my incentive-based site when I start focusing on it (I am trying hard to focus on one method at a time now :D) but for now here is a basic explanation of how it works.

    1. Find a product/service that many people want for free.
    2. Create a site that allows people to get this product/service for free by completing free surveys/offers on your site which allows them to earn "virtual currency" points.
    3. Allow users to swap these points for the free product/service.

Obviously you have to set up the scoring system in such way that you end up making a profit. So if you are offering your members an item that costs you $20 to buy, set it up that way that they need to complete offers worth $30 to earn enough points.

The good thing is that a LARGE majority of these people will only complete a few offers and then give up or forget about the site. That means pure profit for you. :)

Regarding Youtube traffic, as I said I have only been playing around with it at a very small scale but I have a couple of ideas that I'm going to be applying. But more on that when the time comes. ;)

I'm happy to see a journal like this, a lot of what you've said reminds me of myself - too lazy, spreading my efforts over too many different methods etc.

I look forward to reading your updates, hopefully I'll get a lot out of your journal.

Guys here is a quick update.

My Clickbank site is back online and luckily my SERPS were not affected by the downtime.

I have implemented the email campaign on my website and hopefully I will see the first sign-ups today. I will give you more info about the actual campaign in the evening.

To give you an update on my earnings, yesterday was the worst day I had in a long time, with just $3.33 from my C P A Lead incentive based site. However, today looks really promising with $11.12 already and it's only morning in the US. My site receives most traffic during the evening and night (US time) since 90% of my traffic consits of US visitors.

Today, I am going to do the following:

    • Write and add the two keyword-rich 300-word posts to my CB niche site
    • Spin 2 of my old EZA articles and blast them with AMR to create a few hundred backlins to my site.
    • Use scrapebox to find 10 PR 3+ blogs in this niche and post manual comments linking back to my site.
