I?ve done a couple of journals that have fizzled out?I hope this is not the same. I have gone back to basics and focused on list building. After selling solo ads in the meditation niche on my 2k list, I made a few hundred dollars and realised if I had a list in a more demanding niche. So I have decided to focus on the weight loss niche. My approach is so simple: 1) Traffic My strategy here is to drive traffic using buysellads and purchase banner advertising on niche related websites. The stats I will be tracking are the CTR. 2) Landing Page I will use optimizepress to create the landing page. The landing page will be promoting a free report related to dieting. I will be doing A/B split testing to continuously improve my opt-in conversion rate. This is will be tracked using Google Analytics. 3) Building Relationship My auto responder (Aweber) will be fully loaded with emails every three days for three months. I have downloaded tons of PLR articles/eBooks from the Members Area in the weight loss niche which I am rehashing to build a blog. Each email will have a call to action to click the link which will take them to the blog post e.g. Does Green Tea Really Help To Lose Weight? I want to get subscribers use to clicking links in my emails as this is integral for the monetization stage. I will be tracking open rate and click through rate here. 4) Monetization Two ways of doing this: Affiliate banners all over the blog ? I?m not expecting much here, but I will be promoting Clickbank products in the weight loss niche. The clicks will be tracked using CB?s affiliate tracking. Selling solo ads ? This is where I expect to most of the money. There are tons of avenues to exploit here to get buyers. I will start exploring those avenues when my list gets to 1k. I will also be keeping a running P/L to see if I can make this a profitable businesses. This is not rocket science. This is what all the list building guides tell you to do. I know the theory I just need to put it into action. I?ll try to update the thread as much as possible. Which me luck! zoheb01.
