It's 6am here and I want to blow my brains out for being up this early (I got one hour of sleep), but I need to post this before I forget. And before anyone starts, no, this is not an advertisement for my BST. It has been closed since December and I'm not going to reopen it. OK, so, @whitecat1 and I decided to be buddies for this journey and post in this thread together. We're both going to set up our own Amazon affiliate websites. He's a total and complete newb at this, but I am not. The purpose of this journey thread is to hold us both accountable for setting up an Amazon website. I'll let him post his own goals here. My goal for doing this isn't to make money. The truth is I've gotten super lazy when it comes to just writing content for the web. I'm very used to writing marketing pieces like sales pages and white papers. I actually turn up my nose at the idea of just writing web content. And I can't be like that. I started my career as a content writer, and that's a skill I have to keep up no matter what. I'll never know when I need to fall back on it. So as much as it freaking pains me to do it, I'm going to set up this website. I don't want to be one of those people that thinks that because I'm successful I'm too good to do certain types of work. Those people are shitty, and while I'm a shitty person, I don't want to be that shitty. OK so we're going to follow these two threads: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/m...on-newbie-friendly-phase-5a-published.832879/ https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/u...he-sites-that-are-insanely-profitable.687867/ We've already got hosting, branded domain names, niches, etc. For people who think that it costs a lot to get this started up, it doesn't. I helped @whitecat1 get started for less than $10. There's a webhost in the marketplace that charges less than $2 a month for shared hosting, and he got a domain from GoDaddy for 99 cents. That's $3. That's it. That's all it took. The logos are probably going to cost around $5-10 on Fiverr. So for about $8-13 you can get started with your own Amazon website. OK, I've talked enough. Today I'm going to start working on my main article, which is probably going to be about 3000 words long. I'm going to work on it in sections in increments of 20 minutes a piece with frequent breaks until it's done. Ngl, if I get bored I'm going to go play Skyrim. So this might take a while. But I should be finished with it by Monday.
