When performing a search yesterday, I ran across a listing for the major retailer JCPenney. Or at least it appeared to be JCPenney. When I clicked the Google result, I was redirected to a porn site.

I couldn't remember what I was searching for when I pulled up that result. So this morning, I searched for jcpenney hacked.

Here is one of the results that popped up.

hacked adult movies
www [DOT] jcpenney [DOT] com/jcp/linkshare/linkshare.asp?siteID=1&url=HTTP://www.lastpoher.ru/in.php?&n=599&t=hacked... - 7 hours ago - Similar pages -

I'm really interested in learning if this is an actual hack on the JCP server or if this can be done externally. I don't want to OUT the hacker, just wanting to learn how this works.

Thanks

lol that's pretty insane

A fortune 500 company running Affiliate ads with Linkshare

The economy must be pretty bad lol

---I took a visit to the directory on their server and it looks like it's an internal hack or intentionally put there for some reason.

I don't know why it would redirect to a hideous malware site (no affiliation with any of JC penny products)

The cached page of their site from yesterday is fine....you sure the problem isn't on your PC?

Edit: Sorry I see the link now

Funny stuff. You can pull up one of the links by searching for jcpenney and about any "dirty" word you want....sex, fuc_, etc

I ran a search and Google has indexed more than 36,000 pages are indexed inside of that directory on the JC Penney site.

Is anyone else convinced this can be done externally? This has to be a server hack right?
