Can't fucking believe it!

Thought he would be the one who got away.

I have been devouring books about the life of this son of a bitch and his "corrupt midget" brother Billy. My heart came out my mouth when I saw that he had been captured.

For 20 murders, millions in extortion and drug profits and nearly sixteen years on the run, he will get death penalty I'm sure!

Am I the only one who knows who Whitey Bulger was?

Probably, and with that russian outfit you have going there it seems like your the only one obsessed by thought.

Whaaaaat. I just was watching shit about him the other day, first time I heard about him. That's fucking crazy, hahah.

tbh I didn't know about him until I saw The Departed, but I imagine if you grew up in Boston he was a household name. More then just your run of the mill gangland slayings.. they guy was a real sadist.

Crazy they found him after all this time basically hiding in plain sight on the other side of the county.

Don't even remember him being mentioned in The Departed.

He's not, but Nicholson's character, Frank Costello, is based on him.
I liked that movie a lot lol.

Holy shiiiit..This guy has been on AMW, the History Channel (about Boston Mob) and all other programs! AMW said he could reside in Europe, but he's just been in the backyard all this time - WTF!!!

He was the #1 most wanted on the FBI list forever, well until Osama came came along. If you're from Boston this is huge news!

Have you guys seen the awesome movie The Usual Suspects?

it is awesome even though there is one hot woman in the entire movie lol :D

Not to sure what Kaiser Soze has to do with Whitey Bulger? But yes, The Usual Suspects was an awesome movie!

Nobody could believe that "creepo" was behind all the murders and everything....suddenly i remembered about that film....the culprit is somewhere near you and you don't even realize it for so long.

You guys may want to read the book about him - "Brutal".

PM me if you want the link to the eBook.

Very nice. Were his murders all mob related? Or did he kill innocents as well? Either way, wohoo for the death penalty.

He also killed a brother of two gangsters in a case of mistaken identity during the Boston gang wars of the late sixties and early seventies.

Roger Wheeler was killed. An innocent business man who had found out about Winter Hill gangs parking lot skim. To the tune of $10k/week. Big bucks in the early 80's.

Michael Donahue was killed because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time i.e. giving Brian Halloran (snitch) a lift home from a restaurant.

He killed two women. Both 26. One was the girlfriend of his crime partner Stevie Flemmi. It is believed that she knew that both Stevie and Whitey were snitches. But, she had started seeing some other guy and perhaps Stevie was jealous.

The other girl that Whitey and Stevie killed was Stevie's stepdaughter. Stevie had been having sex with her for years.

All of the other murder victims were criminals and were ether killed for being informants or killed after refusing to be shook down or general disobedience

I've read that a couple of times. I would recommend Howie Carr's "Brothers Bulger" too. Funny read, but he twists and stretches the truth in some places.

For the record, the film "The Departed" was not based on Whitey Bulger. It is a remake of a Hong Kong film called "Internal Affairs".

The film producers felt comfortable making it for Boston because of Whitey Bulger's informant status.

An Irish mob boss snitch? Come on, nobody would have believed it!
