    The only thing I can understand from the ticket they game me is that somehow they are saying Google xml sitemaps plugin is causing an overload? Seriously?

You should optimize your DB's by your self or contact any profesional web designer with this request. If you use any cms and plugins you can just try to disable them or upgrade to the newer version etc. Or you can just contact support of cms you use with the request to provide you solution how to optimize their application

    I swtiched to ix from fatcow because I had a database queries problem with them.

    They all say "sure load up 60 WP sites it's no problem" Than a few months down the road they do this and try to sell you a VPS.

    Please let me inform you, that reported issue has nothing to do with CPU or RAM installed on mysql server. Server overload means, that some part of your web application or code caused huge load(overload of CPU or even all other server resources at the same time) on the server side. Please keep in mind, that bugs in code or configuration of the web application could cause server overload even the most modern servers.
    Please keep in mind, that we don't provide any knowledge base about mysql, php or other services as it is outside our support boundaries for the hosting product.

    Please note I understand that you as a representative of Ix hosting are still insisting that after being a customer for months now I am suddenly doing something that is overloading your server.

    Also please not that I understand you refuse to tell me exactly what it is that I am doing to overload your server. Also note that I understand that you would like me to digest in the shortest time possible what people go to school for years to learn.

    Please note I find this unacceptable and suggest that this is not a case of award winning customer support as your company advertises.

    Please pay close attention to the following:

    I believe I know what is causing the issue of mysql overload.
    I use a plugin called Autoblogged which pulls keyword rich content from various searches and RSS feeds and posts them to Wordpress sites.

    Please note I had this exact problem with my last shared hosting company and when I became an IX customer I was assured that this would not be a problem and if it were to become a problem it would be "an easy fix" .

    Please take extra special care to note I sincerely believe this to be a complete and total opposite of "an easy fix" and I am sincerely disappointed your sales staff obviously made promises to me that the technical department would have no interest in keeping.

    I am willing to delete this plugin from every site until such time as I am able to upgrade to a VPS with another hosting provider. I am convinced it is this plugin that causes this because every time it runs it works in multiple steps that access the database multiple ways.

    Perhaps with your years of hardly aquired knowledge you could salvage what has surely been a complete and total let down in terms of customer service and tell me the easiest way possible to delete the plugin from all sites at once without having to FTP into each site and delete the plugin one at a time?

    The plugin I am speaking of is in the following path in each site
    /wp-content/plugins/carter

    I suggest after you tell me how to delete that folder from every site as fast and as easy as possible you go ahead and unblock my database and we retest to see if that is a problem. I also would like to request that the next time the tech support plans to put me out of business for a day or more they go ahead and leave a message at 617-xxx-xxxx
    Sending an email to someone who is in the taxi business and drivers 12 hours straight really isnt that effective now is it?

    Obviously I am in 5th level of hell upsell for a vps.

    Can you guys at least put an error page up instead of the install wordpress message?

    I don't understand why you can't just run a shell command delete the plugin named Carter from all the websites and retest to see if I am still placing too much demand on the servers?

    At the very least no more posting would=tons less database errors and no new posts=no google xml sitemap rebuilding which would further equate to no more mysql usage.

    O.k. I appreciate the fact that my stuff is back up but I have been awake going on 19 hours now.

    Can you please just run a shell command and delete that plugin from every site? I honestly would do it right now but I do not know how.

    IF you don't delete it the plugin will run and than the delete duplicate posts plugin will run and then the xml site map will rebuild itself and the server will be jammed again and you guys will be unhappy again.

    I know this is a mute point now but when I switched to IX I made it clear what plugins I used knowing this may be a problem.

    When you say it is "impossible" do you mean it is impossible that after all this you would fix the problem without causing me further grief or do you mean you lack the technical know how to accomplish this or do you mean it is "impossible" to accomplish on your system because it lacks shell access even though every hosting company has shell access?

    I think you may expect a bit too much from a budget hosting company.
    You ask for very customized support. No-one provides that kind of support on budget hosts.

    It's like asking your host to update all you wordpress installs. Solve it once and see how it goes. Worst case move on / don't take them too hard.
    I've had major speed issues with fatcow so I just told them to go screw and booted the account / went elsewhere... gotta be flexible.

    I also had an account hacked on Justhost... Best they could do is restore. They didn't agree looking into the why and how... And I can understand that from a $2.59 per month host. I personally cost them more than I pay them.

    I hear youbro but IX is like 125 a year and all I was asking at this point was for them to run a shell command and delete the files that were overflowing their server.

    hi, I am an informatic and I work a lot with mysql servers and oracle servers.
    I can explain your logs

    first of all I can see:
    1) that you use a shared hosting with about 20-30 wp blogs
    2)the size of yours db I think that is over 30mb and you have over 50 uv/day
    so I suggest you to change hosting because if you cause server overload for this... only 1 can cause it: LOW SERVER MEMORY
    I think that ix use a vps with max 700mb of memory. :)

    At my work, we use db over 1gb and about 1000queries per minute and the server has only 2gb of ram and never stop for overload. Max usage is 63%
    ;)
    PS:
    what are reported in the chat are not errors LOL but only notification that these queries was not executed.... this because the server was stopped before :)
    if you have an other account on the same host you can check that also others accounts are down

    LOL I figured.. Ill get a Hostgotor VPS as soon as I am able and swap a load of my sites over there and keep 15 with ix to keep the 15 free ip's. I just tried switching one of my blogs from Wp super cache to hyper cache and I got a notice to edit my wp-config file that I never got with any other cacheing plugin. Could it be that I wasn't actually caching before?

    I just called them.. the customer service is waiting for the tech support people to tell them what domain I violated TOS with. This is getting to be insane! Ixwebhosting.com sucks ass! How can wordpress overload a server? That is just insane!

    This is absolutely insane. The problem is obviously not with my sites and with your servers. How can you tell me that I am overloading your servers but not be able to tell me how I am doing it an hour after you said everything was fine? If you dont know how you think I am doing it how do you know it is not someone else on the server?
