I would like to buy 15-20 articles to post to my main site and tier 1 sites. Just for my own ease, if I can get articles for $2-$3 a pop, It is a lot easier for me. I am worried that most of these writers will just use spun articles.

Anyone have experience with them? Or have any tips for me?

You get to read the articles, so you could do your own copyscape type check. If the article sounds spun, and you'll know if it's a terrible spin, then you don't have to accept it.

Unless you pay for the premium writers there you'll get spun garbo back. I tried opening my articles to everyone and I couldn't even read them...

I normally buy from TextBroker and tried a few articles from iWriter. I bought 3, 2 were so bad I didn't even use them. The other was OK.

    My experience with I writer
    I bought 6 articles
One of them was rewritten and copy space did not reported a problem but when I uploaded in hub pages their system found a so ilar article in web and they send me URL. Hub pages never accepted this article and author never returned my money

I am not using I writer anymore

You get what you pay for. There is no such thing as a good $3 article.
