They can hype themselves all they want, people would still rather watch the NBA
Cracked me OP, lol, good one
OP, its like this. A diamond is a diamond, no matter where it is. Same goes for People like Bill Gates, Mark Zuck, Jack Ma and the rest of their kind.
They don't need Ivy league, In fact its the other way round, Ivy unis need them!
Most of the billionaires are dropouts. The one thing they do best is manage people, communicate effectively and hustle like there is no tomorrow.
In fact, all the business education given in ANY university can be obtained in 1/10 of the time it takes and 1/1000 of the money invested. Think about what all you could accomplish with the rest of time and money. Sky is the limit!
Some people do watch it tho. To be honest no one takes womens sports seriously. Sad truth. In any sport
No. They are successful because of thier networks whom they found in those ivies..
The ivy’s Provide a good network, but that doesn’t guarantee success.
And secondly a lot of other universities have extensive and good networks that a grad can utilize. Think UC system or Stanford. Shit even some of the CSU as well.
Please read the replies too. I have already mentioned them too. They are equal to the ivies
Paul Allen and Bill Gates met in elementary school. The founders of Apple were introduced by a mutual friend that attended the same public high school.
That's the thing. Not every skill is marketable.
Congrats op, I don't agree with most of what you say but being in a good college is something to brag about. Where are you studying?
Is everyone with a degree in America older than 40 making "easily" 300k a year?
Well said, to prove a general point, it should be applicable to all cases but to disprove it, only 1 anomaly suffices
No, but its relatively easy to achieve $300,000 per year in income after 20 years if someone actually has a goal to get that much.
-"640k ought to be enough for anybody"
Off topic, Don't mind me, I see a bill gates quote, I've got to post that epic line.
What's the point of being the smartest person in the room and still trading time for money like a hooker?
True success is having the freedom to do what you want, not just making money.
Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs didn't start to trade their hours to make money. They believe in something greater than themselves that would contribute to development of our species.
If they thought like you and traded time for money then they would be an average Joe too ranting on internet
Anyone can do that if they have a money. Buy a business with employees, or just hire them.. you would be free then lol.. do you really believe all these people you have mentioned don't do any work? They are still the CEOs of thier companies and work a lot more than anyone else in the company..!
they weren't born the ceo's
you couldn't get my point despite going to ivy league. I said if they wanted to only make money by going to ivy league & getting $1M+ job, they wouldn't be the people you know today
The reason they are successful is they believe & work for something more than money. Elon musk started Tesla to empower electric vehicles, started solar city to build efficient infrastructure, Steve jobs started apple to let every household have a computer, zuk started Facebook to connect people, jack ma started Alibaba to empower Chinese manufacturers i can give you all the examples you want.
If you create some value for people, they don't care if you went to Harvard or you are a dropout. Market doesn't give a shit who you are. If you provide value, you are welcome and if you don't then you will get your ass kicked
Funny, you think they are the only people who get such ideas? Computers were already there before apple, MySpace was already there before Facebook.. but the only reason which made them successful was that they went to an prestigious university.. stop hiding the truth mate.
Lot of it are the connections you establish once you're there..
There is no point in arguing with you as you have just closed your mind about this topic. I don't know if you would be much successful with that mindset.
Let me know when you make billions. Good bye till then
LMAO OP, if having a prestigious university is the only reason that made them successful, why are there <2,000 billionaires? Ivy League Universities pump grads in thousands every year!
What's stopping YOU from becoming one as you got all the self-defined prerequisites
