I just put the 1st banner on one of my articles.

I read someone say that at first they won't be too targeted but slowly will be. How long will this take cos just now for example the niche is men's underwear and atm it is showing women's underwear :D so isn't gonna be much good yet, at least they are on underwear I guess :D.

So how long does it take till it works out my niche properly? and how is it worked out (just intrigued as to the second part)?

Also what do you guys think is the best type- text and image, text, or just image?

I have default text and image up but images look a bit spammy imo and was thinking text is more discreet and classy kind of like a normal contextual link. I guess it all comes down to CTR but what are other's experience?

I know for myself I find it offensive seeing big images if I'm reading a page but I don't know if my opinion is that of your average joe.

Also what is this 'CPA' that ppl keep mentioning as an alternative to adsense? I thought CPA just meant cost per action but ppl seem to be talking about it like it's a specific company/body like adsense that you can sign up to...

hey dude mine usually takes around 24-48hrs to show the right ads

my personal opinion is text links always llok better images look like adverts and puts people off i also suggest you kepp them on the left side of the webpage to

cpa is like what you said cost per action and there are loads of different companies that you can sign up for and then promote a cpa action depending on your market cpa is a good way of earning money but personally i dont think you will find a decent cpa network to match your niche in mens underwear

CPA Networks are networks that offer a variety of different ad niches for you to promote on your site/email/whatever. Look for a network with product/service offers related to your niche (mens underwear) and you can pick and choose which ones to display on the site instead of Google choosing them for you.

As far as Ad5ense, they're pretty smart about guessing which ads they should display on which sites.. But it's not always ideal. Text/Image preferences depend, it really just comes down to trial and error - text ads covert better in some areas/sites as images do better in other circumstances.

    Hope that helps. Good luck.

Adsense sounds like the beginner's choice which suits me and I know many on here have made bank from it so I'm guessing they are accurate enough to get reliable clicks :D.

Also, is there a way to add the ads to all pages rather than one by one? Not a big deal but would be a bit easier to paste code in one place and have it show up on all pages as it's gonna be the same banner.

Also the banner is a big square at the bottom of my article but I want it like the ones below on this site as a slim one. How do I do that?
