whoa, congrats :) I've been wondering how one would go about doing what you did. Heard that FFAP can do that, but since I'm not selling anything (just helping promote some music) its price is not really justifiable with me..

anyway, i don't believe you can invite ID's directly to your page.
Not sure how reliable/safe non-friend messaging is these days, but I'd at least consider it.. and then there's the good (bad) old way of adding them as friends and then inviting to your page. Which has to be taken pretty slowly these days, i think..

    and this
isn't really true as far as I've seen. Don't know anyone who succesfully pulled that off (if you're talking about the "tell your fans" option).

Actually i'm using a self-made bot where it will crawl to a specific Page to gather all the info. The initial idea was to scrap their email so that i can send invite but most of them set the privacy hence the bot cant crawl and extract, so my alternative is to scrap their UID instead since this is visible.

But now i'm stuck in the middle because still looking and finding a way to invite them using the UID.

Yea I keep hearing that you need to use FFAP in order to use the ids to invite them to your fan page.

    It can be done.

I have a supplier who scrapes ID's of pages or searches and uses a custom built script to invite them to a page... Still trying to figure out how it works.

Only thing I can think of is take the ajax request from the dialog where you select friends to send requests to and just send it with your harvested id's instead.

I am still trying to figure it out. All I know is that I give him a URL and the target, he scrapes ID's (or something else) for a few days, more if there are not many IDs returned in each search, and then he sends out a massive invite.

The fans come in really quick once the harvesting is done.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

If you can figure that out then you can make money using a new method of invite for a specific niche (either to profile or friends)

Currently i can scrap UIDs from groups, application, pages and even based on the profile info such as relationship and etc. But i'm still figuring a way to invite them to Page or Profile.

Maybe we can JV once you figure that out :)

Yes, I second that. Just capture & look at the POST data that flows back to fb's server when you make ajax calls while sending out invitations and send the harvested uids instead.

One coder has suggested using this:
    http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/fbml/request-form

I cant see how it would help

also i have an idea how to test

next time join the fan page with lots of your fake accounts so he will scrape those ids.

then see how the suggest is manifested to you. who does it say it comes from, is there anything odd etc....

That's too obvious (even for fb), trust me it's not that easy. If it was, then by now it would have already been made into a bookmarklet, shared all over the place, abused to hell, and fixed. With that being said, where there's a will there's a way.
