I've Lost Thousands $$$ Online and my wife is PISSED!!!

So what is the amount lost?

Not a gambler myself, but got some around me.

It impresses me to hear their stories about this addiction.

They accept it and keep consuming, like most of the people do with theirs.

I've won big and lost big

I paid for the adrenaline and loved every second of it...

Lost around $15,000+ so far
Gained around the same, if not more.

You win some and lose some

is not that I hate gambling, but the addiction that comes with it is what is making me so very very scary.

I played roulette in a crypto casino about 2 years ago..
it was an absolutely TERRIBLE session.
From the 75$ I spent, I managed to make 9000$+ in the meantime.
I was full of euphoria, even made bets of $1,000, $2,000 and in the end even $5,000 and lost EVERYTHING.

That feeling was AWFUL !
I didn't want to let it sit on me and tried a few more times but always lost. In the end I lost about 200-300$...

Honestly, I'm glad because I'm sure I would be addicted to gambling today if I had paid out the $9000.

It was a lesson for me and I realized how quickly it can get addicted to you.

Yea, just don't get addicted and have self control!

I have a rule that has always helped me. If I start with $X amount and double it, then leave.

I also have a STOP-LIMIT rule depending on how much I am "willing to lose".

Seems to help a lot.

Yep, that sums it up. You win some, you lose some.

Its always good practice to only gamble with what you can afford to lose.

What's your most significant loss while gambling?
1.5k in One bet and after that I never gambled again. It was a misclick in dice.

I'm confused now... You control yourself or you lost shitloads of money? You send mixed signals lol.

I wouldn't say $15k is "shitloads" of money.

Considering this is about a month of my living expenses, I'd say its pretty good control, yea.
