    Hi all,

    Ok, so I'm currently working on a flash site (I used a template), I've edited it using Flash CS4 and all was going smoothly until I uploaded the site to my server. All the files are there but I cant get any of the front page buttons (about, contact etc) to point to the actual pages. When you move the mouse over and click it just does nothing?!?!?

    I've spent the last 2 days trying to figure this out (BHW search, google, yahoo answers etc.)but as yet have not been able to find a solution. I feel like I'm banging my head against a brick wall now. I know it's probably just something simple that I've not done but as this is my first flash site, I'm kind of stuck right now.

    Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong??

    Thx folks,

    J

    When exporting .swf, check "Allow network only" (the default is "Allow local only").

    I've tried this and still the same problem, the index page is not linking with the internal pages. I would be really grateful if anyone has any other suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

    Ok, it doesnt look like there is an action script code assigned to the buttons (is that what you mean't Homenet?)

    Does that mean that if I add this code:

    on (release) {
    getURL("http://myURLhere/about.html") ;
    }

    the problem will be solved?

    Troad77 - I have no idea what as2 or as3 is! I'm using a template from Template Monster and Adobe Flash CS4 to edit.

    My head hurts!!!!

    Thx,

    J

    The above code only work if you use action script 2. For action script 3, it will ignore all action inside the button. You can choose action script version when u publish the swf.
