Damn 6 hours meditating! Maybe 10 mins in the morning to clear the mind and then get moving mate. Listened to a good Grant Cardone audio the other day, he said the healing is in the doing. I agree. Never felt better than when I'm taking action and moving towards a goal.

If you look at life from a point of lack/not being where you want to be then thats the message you're subconsciously programming your belief system with and you'll keep attracting more. Meditation has most likely had no positive affect because of the emotion you've attached to it whether that was on a conscious or unconscious level. Use meditation to explore your mind deeply and find the root problem of why you feel the anger/anxiety rather than a way to block it

    Hi, pewep,

Seems like your years of meditation did nothing to you. LOL
I've been meditating for a year now, over a 100 sessions and each session is 10 minute :) and the BENEFITS are fucking awesome !$

No overthinking anymore, no FUCKING ANALYSIS PARALYSIS that is the main reason why newbies never make it online :) and better yet, i've acheived most of my goals this year and thanks to meditation and some spiritual teachings.

One person that really changed me, is Eckhart Tolle. He helped me to let go of my perfectionism, attitude toward failure and the ENDLESS search for happiness in the future.

    Now,

I just saw you were speaking about letting go, but at the same time, you want to improve.

Look, mate, I'm gonna be honest with you. Those monks that claim that they are "enlightened" and do nothing but meditate with no ambition .. Those are not real enlightened people! Heck if meditation, spiritual teachings and enlightenment would mean that i won't work then FUCK IT, i don't want it :)

    BUT,

I've been through the same things you're thinking about. You're supposed to let go and be free of everything. Correct. However, wouldn't you work on your goals?

It's there where i've found a video by RSDTyler who explains EVERYTHING and what real meditation is.

    In Essence it's being :

The Most ENGAGED yet the Least ATTACHED

You work for your goals harder than anyone, but you don't need to become a millionaire, as an example, to be fulfilled and feel "enough" :)

Here is the video, i hope it helps you and everyone :D

    Good luck mate !

1.) First get mad at life

2.) Hate everyone and think their all useless

3.) That hate will be what motivates you to create a sales funnel, create ads, and move life forward.

Normally when I'm in a mad phase I do things. Sometimes I get a good return. Sometimes I learn from mistakes.

    Or

Just pay someone else 2 do it all for you. This is my choice unless I get mad, but I do a few things by myself like wipe after # 2

try mindfulness, point of meditation is to get you grounded and to give you inner peace. Also try to meditate before you go to bed, even if you sleep your mind should still get the rest.

Have you read Mindfulness in Plain English and Beyond Mindfulness? I haven't finished them but I've read about them, at least on r/meditation.

Sounds like you're still thinking too much. The fact that you've identified a particular stream of thoughts as demons and seem to be resisting your natural impulses validates this.

Do you think a "real yogi" is free from the emotions: anger, lust, greed, etc.?
How can an empty mind be at peace or tranquil? Aren't peace and tranquility states of mind, in which your thoughts are in harmony with your experience/reality?

While I agree, a man can benefit from celibacy, (see - https://www.amazon.com/Coiled-Serpent-Conservation-Transmutation-Reproductive/dp/1432595105)
do you really think copulation is a hindrance to spiritual growth or is it the underlying thought surrounding the act?

As for meditation, I find observing nature always puts me in a meditative state. For example, try going into meditation whilst watching flowers bloom or watching hummingbirds.

Right now you're battling all the dichotomic beliefs you've been taught throughout your life. At the end of the day, only you can decide what's "good" or what's "bad" because most of what we've been taught only serves to perpetuate this broken social system humanity is desperately hanging onto.

I'd like to know out of personal interest, what do you mean by meditating.

The way I see it, meditiation is nothing more than just focusing on something rather specific intentionally and fully. Meditating in itself is not much more.

There are many ways to end up in that sort of state. Be it driving a car or really focusing in on whatever one's hobby is, I'd imagine almost all walks of life meditating in what they do, be it woodcrafting or even coding perhaps. What astonishes me is how some people go full-on placebo on it by doing nothing more than focusing on breathing alone, merely just thinking they're real fucking godly by doing so after a session. This in itself is like lying to oneself, and a lie only lasts so long, much like placebo effect as it has no actual effect. Punishing oneself each time they go adrift on something good within that state. And then punishing further because no good came of that, unless they keep the act on longer.

Take yoga for example, not really my type of thing, I'd rather go fishing instead, but that too is not much more than just focusing on the activity where meditation is just a potential side-effect.

I don't know what book you read, but your expectations seem to be way off. That's why I'm just assuming the most likely scenario why you feel this way.

If you want godly powers, meditate by taking a good long run 6 hours each day or something, then if that's not your thing, switch to swimming instead (not probably too good for 6 hours straight though...) or riding a bike or something. You seem to have the time.

This guy is a super talented actor, top of the line. And he managed to grow a huge following (income) from zero. If there is something to admire in him, that's it.

I am not saying you can't pick useful things for your personal life, far from it. The self-help niche is like WSOs. Rehash + origin story. The better the rehash, the origin story and the execution, the better the income. That said, the rehash itself does contain useful information. And the execution is what drives it home.

In other words, people should learn but not become attached (hehe) enough to the hype and not see the thing for what it is.

There aren't, he actually fell down because of his age and stiffness of 30 years of meditation.

@pewep didn't you do sort of over-meditating? 5-10 minutes a day gives me an energy and clearity boost. Nothing more, I have stuff to do.

In my opinion peace of mind comes from doing things what gives you energy, supported by meditating.

My girlfriend experiences sort of the same problem as you: Whole day long busy with meditating, chakra healing, Feng Shui and things but her life doesn't accelerate because she doesn't take action on other aspects of life.

As beginner, I meditate 10 minutes in the morning and 10 in the night and I have results from meditation, like less anxiety and I'm more focused also I feel my mind "lighter" , I'm worrying less.

Try to meditate for less time in nature - You meditating right? With diaphragm/lungs and not with the chest? If you meditate with chest you're NoOb

    100% agree !

Eckhart actually helped me when I was suffering from way overthinking ( i was sleeping 2-3 hours a day for 13 days straight ). And after that, I saw that many of the stuff that he's sharing is actually not very useful for me as i kinda sensed that he's just repeating the same things over and over again.

So I dropped him and kept enjoying my life. But just like i said, he was one of the factors that helped me in a "phase" in my life. That's it :)

3 things helped me alot to free myself from suffering.

    1. Acceptance
    2. No expectation
    3. Less attachment
