    Things are changing on a regional and hourly basis as far as rankings go. Impossible to even guess how it'll affect you until this is settles out. So far either moved up or stayed the same on all sites. But regional searches shows various outcomes

    Payday loan update might be google targetting those payday affiliates sites and all other sites which were there on the same network.

    I think penguin is also updated. Maybe google doesnt want to reveal that

    It's both. One followed quickly by the other.
    And that itself is entirely deliberate. Supposed to make "errant" (in Google's eyes) webmasters not know what to do. Which leak to fix first etc.

    Nothing unusual here.

    Exactly my thoughts. I am 100% sure they pushed 2 updates i.e. Panda and penguin.
