I am so fucking pissed off at this new "Manual actions" bs from google. They officially do not like ANY kind of link building and will penalize you for anything you do. All of this one client's sites have manual actions against them and no matter what I do, they come back with more bullshit as to what they don't like.

This is an example of a link they say is "outside their guidelines" http://wilber4pail.mywapblog.com/
The client is (clearly) for interior design tampa. It was a web2.0 built by me, so it isn't a damn paid link or anything. Can anyone explain to me why they are telling me this is a "bad link." It seems you can not build any backlinks anymore without them keep saying "no no no."

Super pissed right now, any help appreciated.

I think it's your anchor text giving you troubles rather than the web2.0.

If it was my anchor text, I assume it would be a Penguin slap, not a 'manual action." They do both have the same anchor text. But I have like 100 anchor texts so its stupid.
ALSO, I should mention I think it is nonsense because this manual action is months old but these links are only about a month so they can't be a part of the original problem.

It's built by you and you mention that it is a client site, which means you get paid for your services, which means this is a paid link. And the way you use keyword as anchor link is also what Google don't like. Also, it's a one article web 2.0 and any SEO guy know that this web 2.0 is only a built for link which means not a "real" web 2.0 blog in the eye of Google. So yeah, I am not surprised Google does not like it.

http://wilber4pail.mywapblog.com/ <---- This looks like it was made for search engines and not visitors. It looks so plain, there is no pictures, no theme no videos.

Also there is only 1 post on that web 2.0, this isnt 2009 anymore. For a successful web 2.0 link, you need to treat them like a real website. For starters having at least 5 posts before posting your money site

What they are saying is that the link is not natural. Natural links or white hat seo is what you get without asking for it. Everything else is black hat seo and is bad link.

    +1 to this

You are shredding tears for something that you are guilty for.

You accuse Google, we all know things are getting tougher, but I can assure you if you were to write a nice looking article, include some images, fill in all of the information in the web 2.0 profile and even include a video or 2 things would be different.

The problem here is that you have created that article specifically to rank your site, and it is horribly obvious.

If you are doing whitehat, do not use spinners... do the submissions manually and use the larger sites. If not, just go with gh or bh... spin articles submit them to hundreds of sites and build a large tier 2 and tier 3...

Google hates anybody and anything that doesn't make THEM money. Funny how I manage to rank YouTube videos so easily with "bad links," but when the same links point at your own website, good luck getting anywhere close to the top. Two-faced greedy corporate *********** <- insert any juicy word you can think of

no offence but this is one of the most stupid things i've ever heard.

OP, so this manual action is months old? did you send reconsider request since? did you clean your spam links?
Its sound like - manual penalty>>>you clean some links>>>you also build more spam looking links (like this)>>>they check your recons-blabla (long word) request and see this type of link>>>they tell you its no good.

don't get confused, spam links can also be built manually, not just through scrapebox.

Exactly - the OP was paid for this link - it is a paid link.
I'm not messing with you, everyone does those kind of web20s - you just had the bad luck to get caught. Shit happens.
If you're setting a web20 manually it is good to change the standard theme and add a picture.

No, it just hates the web2.0s which still have their "Hello World" post on them.

Read Google TOS. You will see there that any action you take to gain a backlink is considered outside their guidelines. They only accept natural links, links which are created by other people, unrelated with you and your site, whom you did not paid either. Basically ANY kind of link building is outside their guidelines.

So you are on a blackhat forum and you don't do SEO/backlinking?
I really don't understand some of your answers, you make it sound like you don't do SEO.

I understand it may not be High quality and that may be the issue. I think its annoying and most my traffic comes from yahoo/bing now, only google has their head up their ass and cries about this stuff.

Is clear that the sites you make to rank your client are so much evidences. Is clear that are created to rank (rank = alter the natural google results)
Google hates ANY action that YOU do OFF your site.
(You even left the "Hello World" post! Is clear for us and for Google)

I did not said i am not doing backlingking. I've done comment spam before Scrapebox was invented. What I said is that Google consider any link building outside their guidelines so is nothing to be amazed of when you get an answer like OP did. Purely based on google TOS, you should not do that.

i can clearly say that as bad web 2.0. offcourse its a bad link. just posting a unique article doesnt means you have good web 2.0. there are many things.. you gotta take a look at others too.
