Around 6 months ago, I had my very first experience with FB ads (and FB pages in general), I was stupid and ignorant back then. I decided to boost an image (asking for likes in it..), for about 3$, and heck it gave me 2K likes in few fucking hours. I was amazed, and continued to do so, boosting for 5$ for a week or so, generating page likes like crazy. Time passed, I tried to do the same thing with the same page (since the audience I gathered back then was dead or something, I needed to revive the page again), and decided to do the same thing. Absolutely, the same targeted audiences, same niche, same shit altogether. I did the boosting from the page directly (not ad manager) the first time, so I decided to do the same. To my surprise, now ads seem to be... so... fucking... slow to deliver. Now, the same 3$ gives nothing but at max 30 likes. Why? What the heck happened? I admit, I didn't even know about the existent of ads manager (lol), so I have no way to remember the default optimisation settings. Just what happened? I tried after that with variety of pages, posts (images, links, etc.) same thing, so damn slow and it's not reaching the same potential. Can anyone shed some light on this? What happened during those months? TL;DR: few months ago, a boosted post (image in my case) gathered 2K likes with ~3$ budget. Now, same settings, a boosted post (again, image) gathered around 30 likes or so with the same budget. Just to note, you've probably guessed it by now, the default currency isn't USD, but I made sure to set the same budget taking into account the different currency exchange rates then and now.
