This showed up as a sponsored link today. Obviously everybody in the FB game knows about the fake giveaway niche, but (shadiness and ethics aside) this was a GREAT idea from a marketing standpoint. I heard a guy on here say once that he made upwards of $10,000.00 using the same fake giveaway strategy with iPads when Steve Jobs died (again, ethics aside).

Remember, the money to be made in IM comes from hard work, dedication, and understanding; but also from thinking outside the box like this, and being able to apply unique twists to a method to get it to work better, ESPECIALLY if those twists are time-sensitive influences on the general populous like the twist pictured below:

    Absolutely crazy marketing.

    What's that, 2,000,000 likes? 20,000,000 likes?

The point is the principal of thinking outside the box, especially when tactics are applicable to the general populous in a time-sensitive window.

To draw a parallel in regards to your comment, the fact that 1 person spends $5.00 a day on their Facebook ad and another person spends $500.00 a day says absolutely nothing as to the quality of their ad, in the same way that a person can run 1,000 badly optimized social media accounts and make less than a person running 100 high-quality social media accounts.

The ad itself wasn't the point of the thread, it was the thinking behind the ad. But that being said, throw $500.00 a day at this with proper targeting and split-testing and you'll be laughing all the way to the bank.

his post is not believable at all, and really? impersonate the president? i don't know about shadiness but that must be illegal like when impersonating an officer of the law.

It might be illegal, but if the user is a resident of the correct country then it may not be illegal. Moreover, the president isn't getting impersonated, it's the corporation that's getting impersonated. If I pretend to be Apple, I'm not impersonating Tim Cook, I'm impersonating Apple. It is believable because it's probably being targeted toward white, male Republicans who are the biggest demographic that voted for Trump.

    Here's an example of that:

As a Canadian citizen, it's illegal for me to spam Canadian phone numbers with SMS messages. However, as an American citizen, the laws against spamming Canadian phone numbers don't apply.

If I am understanding correctly this is along the lines of the Disney World. account giving away passes. And yeah I went to the page and it says 3475 entries received so we will see whether that moves or not (meaning if it is just a counter for show) but since he is having the people do offers for entries it won't take whole lot to break even and the rest will be gravy.

Oh, I'm sure it's all completely fake, but I don't deny for a second that he's probably just testing it right now so that he can throw a large amount of money at it in a couple days.

He is not an officer of the law yet; he has yet to be put in office but I wouldn't screw with a guy that is going to be Pres.

The idea is very good though as it is outside the box and promoted properly could work well. I'm actually doing something that relates to the elections and building a nice list from it on FB.

For this sort of thing collecting emails and setting them up in a funnel as people that fall for that will fill out 40 CPA offers from you before they get annoyed that they never won anything is a better long term residual income.

The beauty of putting CPA offers or building e-Mail lists off of fake giveaways, should one choose to do so, is that nobody will ever realize they didn't win anything so they'll never get annoyed. Nobody who ever enters a lottery is ever mad that they don't win, right? If so, then why would a fake giveaway ever be different? It's not like these people are checking to see if the page ever actually gave anything away.

I actually don't do giveaways but that is a pretty solid point... some of these people will never opt out and you'll be able to send them offers until well after the cows come home.

I see these offers all over FB. The only thing that will become annoying is if everyone is doing it, and it just fills up peoples feed.

But they are probably raking in the cheese for sure.

My stuff is built on controversy as I'm just playing on their emotions.

People get so emotional about politics (which is why it is a no-no here) they will knee jerk react and hop right on the gravy train. Just so happens to be my gravy train, not theirs.

For sure man, it was the same thing for the live video method. People just don't think outside the box, because that method has been possible for a while now, and people are only starting to pick up on it now.
