I'm promoting 2 of MB's offers and I have between 2to4 vids on the FIRST page of Youtube for several targeted keywords with 78k , 140k, 115k, 273k etc. searches/month according to G kwd tool. I have 4 vids on the #1 page for a keyword that has 500k (500.000) global searches. I have placed a link in the description and annotations for everyone of them and few are watermarked too. Some of them are on the #1 page of G also and there's no way that the vids are not targeted for that keyword since the content is a ripoff from a tv show talking about the exact same product that I am promoting... and with all this I only get 20 to 25 clicks a day for these offers combined.

The conversion rate is ok but i'm not happy at all with the no. of clicks that mb is showing me on the stats. (vids are linking directly to the offer using bit.ly) I feel that it should be much higher than it is and i blame it on MB. I think they are shaving me.
What do you guys think ? Any ideas ?

Thank you.

Mines the opposite. I'm getting targetted traffic and they're giving me shity conversions :/

Plus they pay much less than other networks for the same offer.

They shave for sure. I'm moving to a better network.

youtube doesn't convert. been there, done that, got the tee shirt.

Maybe some youtube videos doesn't convert as much as a good website/blog/etc but still... after over 17k views (all vids combined) I should see much more than 400 klicks in my stats. Isn't it ?

I joined maxbounty because I read some good posts about them here but if things continue to go like this in the next few days I will move my business to some place else.

seems weird but maybe its the video

MB sux anyway so you would be better off elsewhere - let us know when you move to another network what the difference is between the 2 or 3 !

I like maxbounty a lot, but that is just my opinion.

As for your conversions and clicks. You need to be tracking those yourself, with google or something a like.

I would also suggest that you set up a way to capture an email address before you send them to the offer. Building a list is a huge way to make good money for a long time.

I am not sure what your offer is so I can't give you a lot of advice, but there is a lot you can be doing. If you are getting that many views from a video, you must know how to do something right.

Can you get a site listed in google on the same page as your video? For the same keywords? Also, I am pretty sure that youtube gets a lot of views from other countries, is your offer just for one country?

Hope that helps.

I was using MB and I KNEW I had traffic coming to my site and my offers just weren't converting. Switched to another network the next day and suddenly everything started converting

I don't think that the videos are the problem.
Remember when was that Acai thing at Oprah's show and after that everyone and their mother was banking from Acai products ? Same thing here only at a not so popular show and with some other product ...

Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against maxbounty or any of their staff. I just worked hard to make and rank my videos and now I expect to be honestly paid.
Here's a small proof of stats from a video I uploaded a few hours ago.

mb vs bit.ly clicks for the same vid/offer.

Picture is not working.

So you are going directly from video to cpa offer?

Shoot me a pm if you want some help.

that is not horrible. It is missing 6 clicks, that could be from an ip that mb does not like? or from a country that mb does not want for that offer?

Do you have accounts with any other cpa networks? You could split test the offer with another network. Put it on a rotator.

- Tip - I really don't like bitly. If I were you I would purchase atleast a .info to send traffic to. especially if you are planning on keeping this for a while.

Maybe Steve the owner will come in and post up something in response. Back when I ran with them they were fairly solid but this is a tough time in the CPA game and networks are having to go to extreme measures to guarentee profitibility.

It always gets carried down to loss on the pubs part unfortunetely.

I'm kind of leaning towards bit.ly not transferring the affiliate link to be converted by maxbounty.

MB allows 100% iframing on most of their offers. You are better off setting up a .info and just iframe it. You can then check the stats of where you visitors are coming from (country).
A redirect will do the same but then the visitor will see the crazy link and might not follow through.

Might want to pre-sale, too. For your main page have some info and hype them up about it then link to the iframe page. This way you can see how many people actually follow through to the next page and your conversion rate will be higher and you might even land some conversions that would normally back out.

I like MB and my conversions are fine, i think.

There is absolutely no benefit to MaxBounty, or to any network for that matter, to shave clicks as we are CPA networks and pay out for the actions only. We don't put more money in our pockets by not counting a certain percentage of clicks.

If you are seeing a lower than expected number of clicks, the problem lies with the source of your traffic - they are not seeing and/or clicking through on your ads.

Comparing click counts between a network and your own counting system will almost never lead to the same number. Some networks/counting systems count unique clicks, some count raw clicks, some networks/counting systems geo-filter, some don't. A certain percentage of redirections are lost or the surfers give up if there is any kind of delay during the redirect.

Yeah 100% they Capped ALot of campagins and are shaving .

NUMBERS DON'T LIE

It happened to me either, started with Maxbounty, ended with CPA lead!
However I've heard that CPA lead is scamming now and deleting accounts for no reason!!!

Same thing happened for me. CPAL banned my account. Still I target on my MB offers. They have nice offers.

MaxBounty is one of the best networks I've worked with.

Talk to the AM and see what they say.

I always loved MB, one time they shaved me from 40% to 28%, either that or I did something wrong, but I thought for sure they were shaving so I stopped traffic and they called me the next day....

That was a funny conversation all together, but ever since then I never had any issues.
