Omg im starting to feel like I've wasted time on this site man! All I did was blast a ping with CBNet Ping Optimizer 2.3.3, along with the "ultimate" ping list I got from here, which didn't even work at leaf half of the way. And I also pinged my site with ping-o-matic and some PR5+ profile backlinking (about 3 or 4 links though).

I'm getting so worried right now it's ridiculous! I'm beginning to think I wasted a lot of time that I really considered valuable and vital to the situation I'm currently facing right now (have to pay $2,000 or I won't be able to continue college!! :bawling:)

Please help me out here! I really need the help right now, and fast assistance would really be appreciated right now. Seriously! :s:

Okay, because all of my content is written and researched. I don't know how unique it is, but it's unique. I can at least tell you that...

But my question is, should I continue to build backlinks? Or wait until my site is indexed?

It's my second time getting a site indexed man... Plus look at you! You have over 1K posts, and I think that shows you're really experienced in this... At least give me some advice!

relax...relax...things take more than a day.

Seriously, if you are stressing about a 24 hour indexing period, you are going to have a heart attack when it comes to things that are more complicated and take much longer.

Try to give things time. Don't check your rankings five times a day, etc., or you will be miserable.

if its wordpress: install some sitemap plugin
yoast is a good one for seo and it generates an automated updated sitemap, after you make every post.

hang tight for atleast 7 days.

I am no expert, but i wouldn't go crazy with backlinks or any offsite seo right now

Install SeoQuake plugin in your browser, it shows how many pages on a site is indexed in google.

Join google webmaster and submit your site.

AND::::: DO not constantly check your SERP for first few months ::::

Well apparently, Google Sniper 2.0 said I would get indexed fast, which I did previously before (took maybe 4 hours), but this time 24 hours which is weird. So Yes... SERIOUSLY!!!!

You're being slothful :p You're going to have to backlink anyways, let Google find the site by the backlinks you're doing. Instead of searching how quickly you're indexed, you should be working on site #2.

Not being rude, just telling you how to be more efficient. Worrying how quickly a new website takes to index is futile, it needs to age a bit and get decent backlinks before it will make serious money anyways.

If you don't want to make more than one site ... use the 100+ web2.0 blog list in my signature and start making web2.0 blogs to promote your main site.

Everyone has give you good advice. Backlink, sitemap, bookmark, social media, web 2.0 are all things you should be doing anyway. The indexing will take care of itself. Sometimes it's quick, sometimes it's slow, but if you spend time working on SEO and not worrying about the timeframe, you will be more productive and less stressed.

I get that you are worried about making $2k, but honestly, this is not a process where you can guarantee you will make a set amount in a set time. You might do everything right and rank #1 but could have picked a niche that just doesn't earn. So don't put all your eggs in one basket. Like PHPBuilt said, you should be thinking about site #2.

You guys are crazy. Build a site, make ~5 social bookmarks to it. Wait a day or two. It's indexed. No need to XML sitemaps or pinglers. OP, be aware that it can take as long as two weeks after the site is indexed by Goo for it to rank anywhere.
