It's Been Over 1 year 352 videos later NO GROWTH AT ALL

I am going to tell you what to do that nobody else will tell you to do, reason for it well it works.
Blast a video with some views, likes and shares. You will rank higher and you will grow a lot more in the long run, you're going to spend money but make money.

Hey there. I remember your first thread a couple months back right?

So i got a 3 year old that watch those Kind of Videos and if i learned sometjing about the toy niche. And please trust me on this one.

It has absolutely nothing to do with subs, social media, sharing, or even that much seo.

I dont have enough time to explain it properly but you tried almost everything, you saw little to no results and thats because all you did in this niche was pretty much useless.

A 2 3 4 yr old kid will not search for a toy Review.

Give me 3 hours till Lunch break and i will explain more.

YES that's me again. I can't believe we can't make any progress. YOU'RE RIGHT! It's not about sharing etc. It's about getting it in front of the kids. They simply basically click what is in the top list of recommended videos from another video. I've seen my daughter do it. You are SO RIGHT! But then? What can I do? I simply can't afford the rates out there of views or anything. I'd love to partner with someone who can deliver that! We can pump out videos and our partner could supply views. We would be on top in a month making six figures a month! I wish there was someone who could partner with us in that sense and split the channel. I'm willing to do that!

The thing is I can't afford to mess around anymore financially. I can't keep trying to dump money in and not see any result. If someone told me a number....like ok you need 2 million views and then you will be set. I can't afford to spend $2k on 2mil views then see no result. That would break us financially. What is that line? How many views does one need to see results? And for how many videos?

First of all toys isn't really something searched for much on Youtube. Most of Youtubes audience is teenagers. So I would focus on getting traffic from somewhere else. That's one thing. 20-30 subs a day is about all you will generate for that niche. And like other people have mentioned those other channels subscribers could be fake and probably are.

Second, are you building backlinks to your videos? If so doing so might penalize you you don't really need to build backlinks to videos to get views your channel just has to be popular enough.

You're main problem I think is your niche. Just try to find new ways to get traffic and your channel should get popular enough :)

Yes I agree. I know that I certain number of views / subs they have are fake. I'm just wondering how they can afford to buy SO MUCH. I just looked at a site. It's $40 per 1k subs. So just for 10k that would be $400. 4,000 for 100k . And that's not even close to 800k that they got. Not to mention 2 million subs that a channel that started at the same exact time we did got. Factor in that they have 200k to 1 million views on so many videos, you would have to be rich to get anywhere. Is that what it is? I just don't have enough money to get anywhere?

I have not done any back links no.

I think part of this post is to ask what I am missing. I have tried everything I can think of to get traffic. No clue what I am missing! The niche isn't a problem. I am seeing channels all the time in the same niche who have been around for less time than we have who are seemingly killing it. And by the way, their quality is nowhere near ours in video or anything else! I've seen some with100 or so videos with over 500k subs. We have 352 videos! It's not the nice that is the problem. It is something we are doing wrong.

Also one example is a channel called Grace's World (something like that, not exact name) . I looked at the SEO. It's awful. It uses like 5 keywords per video and they are words like, jump, dive, sink, play, fun, kid, doll, etc. The description is like "Barbie is jumping having fun" . And the title is like "Barbie new day out" . The worst SEO that goes against anything I learned about SEO. Each video she has is in the millions of views! 4mil, 6mil, 32mil, etc. THAT'S SO EXPENSIVE! No one can BUY all those. NO WAY. SO how are they doing it?? They only have 108 videos! 549k subs! That would cost a fortune!!! Their top video has 57k views! And there are a bunch like that. HOW!? lol . NO SEO at all!

This is the SEO in one video: latest, Australia, Room, Boat, watch, Grace Mulgrew, free, online, Fun, Island, Adventure, Australian, Barbie, Barbie Adventure, Video, Cruise Ship, Ken, Grace's, Dolls, New, YouTuber, Barbie Cruise Ship, Isabella, Annabelle, Kids

Description: Barbie, Ken and the twins are off on a cruise ship adventure

THAT'S IT!

That really sounds like something's up.

Are you sure you're videos are objectively better than your competitors?

Do you directly ask for viewers to subsribe in all of your videos?

Do you use the tags of your competitor videos to show up in the related section? (I noticed you mentioned kids tend to click those often)

Similarly do you have at least 1 common tag your videos (such as your brand/channe name) so that your own videos show up as related more easily? I would say this makes a bigger difference on smaller or less authoritative channels.

That's just a few things, feel free to pm if you want some unbiased eyes on your videos!

Seems it's just a problem with traffic then. The only way you can get traffic without paying is social media which won't get you the amount of subs you need and will be to time consuming for you. Try just seeing if somebody with a high traffic site in your niche will be nice and give you a spot on their site for cheap a few days and if you do redirect the visitors to a video rather than your channel.

EDIT: I re-read your OP, sorry i didn't pay more attention the first time i was just kind of confused. It sounds like Youtube has for some reason frozen your account.

If we weren't good, hasbro wouldn't be sending us toys with the small sub number we have. And they praise our videos. So do 3 other companies that send stuff! We didn't even contact them. They contacted us saying how nice the videos are and how cute our daughter is. We are better than 80% of the channels in the niche at least. And those are much bigger than ours.

Yes we always ask.

Using tags of competitors is something I just started doing recently. So far no change.

Yes we have one common tag. Even so, most videos seem to recommend only 3-4 of ours on the side and the rest someone else.

Its like discussing with a brick here... we need to know your chanel/videos to give you concrete advices..

PM me your channel link and we will suggest something afterward.

OP I'd be interested in checking your channel out too actually.

With that said, be careful who you reveal your niche to, if you don't want more competition to deal with.

I pretty much doubt it since it's already a saturated niche. It's a toy review channel which have dozens of authority channels in there. Some go out as story telling WITH the toys, some even add in animation in there and a bunch of other creative ideas.

My 3 year old kid watches a lot of these videos too and one thing I do notice is that he is into branding. He would make me type in there like "ranger elby" or "ed and eppa" and he would be set on a video watching streak for an hour or so.

Perhaps the reason for your slow growth is branding? Or it could be you are not touching on the right keywords because there are generics like there such as "animals jungle", "jungle toys", etc.

Omg you would do that for us? Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not sure if I'm allowed to pm out. Can you pm me and I can reply? Thank you. You are so kind!!!
LOL man don't do that.. Your channel will be copied like hell. Tc.

OP the the best tip from my side. Open your video and check "Recommended video" or Check from where you get views in analytics "suggested views" video and comment there and communicate with these channels. Best of luck.

Wasn't copied, and I did try to see if my traffic would do anything for them.. I don't think it did much if anything, my niche is just a bit too far off theirs to really help.

One thing I can say is, I would promote your website more, and have your website more kid-user friendly to interact with. In my experience, ads on a website will earn much more than ads on YouTube. You can also add in amazon affiliate links to the products on your website.

If a kid knows your website, you might have a better chance of them clicking through your website and earning you more. They can also bookmark your website and hop onto it whenever they go on their computer.

I know for myself, my websites earn an average of $7/1k views, whereas my youtube videos earn closer to just $1.50 for the same view count.

Hi guys. I am beyond baffled at what is going on with our channel. I am reaching out here again because it seems no one is willing to help. I have reached out to so many people and the only reply I get (if they reply at all) is "we got lucky" . We are in the toy niche. Our daughter is the host and is so good at it that despite channel size (only 12k) hasbro and other toy companies are sending stuff saying "the quality of your videos and editing is so much better than the rest" rest being in the toy niche. Thumbnails are on point, SEO is good, I've tried every technique I can think of including copying other video SEO and tweaking it. NOTHING WORKS. Meanwhile a channel that started 6 months ago already has 800k subs. Of two channels that started at the same time with us, one has 2 million subs now and the other 1 million. So WHAT ARE WE DOING WRONG!? I am out of ideas! I offer anyone who can seriously help a partnership in our channel! The content is there, the talent is there.....but we can't get seen!

We started in Feb 2015. We are getting the same number of daily subs we did then. We have 352 videos now, then we had 30 lol. We get 20-30 subs daily average still. Income is the same as it was this time last year (actually a bit lower) with half the videos. Hasn't moved. I have tried youtube advertising at 30$ per day. USELESS. I have tried everything I can think of. It's a joke! We have invested so much time and effort into this not to mention money! We have nothing left. If it would make $100 a day I would be happy. IT'S NOT EVEN CLOSE! How?

Is there anyone out there who would be willing to help us? Anyone please??

I saw people give you a lot of advise.. I agree with some and disagree with some.

I would say that you are probably making a mistake somewhere along the way which can eaily be mitigate. I know of a very good friend who has a toy channel and I know it's exact methodology for success.

24 Vids. 26K Subs. 16,000,000 views.

I think I can help if you want we can converse on PM or wherever. Will be happy to help. I think it can be mitigated easily unless you are making stuff noone is searching for..like a toy which no kid knows. Suggested section is important and so is search ranking. My advise will not include you needing to buy stuff..subs..views or anything else.. You don't need it.. You need to get in the 2 places I mentioned though..
Let's talk.. Willing to help. :)

You're in the toy niche? You're up against people buying millions of high-retention views. So what should you do? Start buying LOTS of views.

BTW, I would not suggest you buy views or subs. They do nothing for you in the long run.

One thing you could try... You said the toy companies contacted you, and sent you their toy. Offer them to advertise the unboxing video of their toy. These companies usually have a good budget for advertising, say you can advertise the video you made on youtube. They would be the ones benefiting from it, so they might be down to pay for the video to be promoted. This could do 2 things. a) get your channel more exposure, b) get the one video more views, and ranked higher.
