Dear Friends,

I hope you are doing good!

I had this question for sometime that I wanted to ask. Is it normal for a website to be 3 years old and have adsense earnings $0.01 to $0.15? I mean, I have more than 600 blogs, 137 collaborative pages, around 140 answers in our question section, and a tool also. Although I am trying get better on a daily basis, still I sometimes ask this question for my website ...

Is it normal? or have I been doing something wrong!

Have you ever felt this way? After now many years you started reaching $1 a day using adsense. Because I don't remember any day when I reached there ... lol

:D

Your experiences and suggestions will be really helpful

I guess the issue is with:
You niche/keyword/content.
Traffic geo locations.

What are countries you are getting traffic from and what's the traffic share between them?
How many of your keywords and blogposts are ranking in the top 10 serp results for each traffic geo locations and what's their estimated average search volume?

$0.01 to $0.15 is very poor in performance and its not a normal case, obviously you're performing somethin wrong since the last three years

I am getting most of my traffic from India - around 200 per day, US - 8 to 10 per day, UK - 2 per day and other countries as well.

I believe content might be an issue as it is broad. It's a social media kind of website and I am running adsense since 2 years now.
There are around 5 articles that are ranking in the top 10 and I usually get traffic from those articles. Having said that its because those content are unique to their keywords.

Yes, probably I am doing something wrong. It is not normal for websites to be as cold as this one, but I don't want to give up on this. Any suggestions would be great.

I have never used paid advertising on my website, wanted to check if that is important part of marketing my website or bringing traffic or can we still get traffic by old means of writing content and promoting the same using conventional ways like WhatsApp Groups (500+ members) Email Subscriptions (450 members) etc!

Thanks

I think (I'm no expert but have multiple websites/webshops) that 200 visitors per day on 600 blogs is quite low traffic. Maybe your blogs are not for keywords that people seach for? I would say take a look at Semrush for your website and keywords, wich blogs are getting traffic and wich not. And also see competitors what they are doing and learn from them (use popular keywords that could rank easy).

Yes, I believe this can be a reason, because I never used any keyword tool like semrush, so might be I am blindly trying to rank it over keywords that people don't even search for!

That'd do it, Invest in some cheap/free keywords tools at least (and start learning seo)

No that's not normal. I reckon you have good amount of daily traffic right? Something must be wrong with your content or Ad placements. Focus on getting more Ad clicks, place them at different positions, try different sizes, turn on/off auto-ads. etc etc etc...

Goodluck!

Definitly try doing this. Also google for Keyword Golden Ratio and how to find keywords that will rank fast with it. Works every time for me!

Based on this and the information in OP:
You have 600 blogposts and only 5 of these are ranking in top 10.
In general, beyond 1st page of serp results most people don't browse.
Also, your traffic is not from T1 so earnings are obvious to be low.

You need to work on SEO of your website as well as content.
Unless you do that, you are not going to rank and unless you rank for many blogposts you won't earn better.
Check the posts that are ranking in 11-40 and improve them to rank higher.

Try other ad networks such as Ezoic..Then make sure you get traffic from Tier 1 countries such US, UK Canada e.t.c

As an AI language model, :D I will say fuck google and fuck AdSense. If you want to make good money then I will recommend affiliate marketing. Just start with a low competition but high demand product first and experiment with it. For anything to work online, you need traffic. If you have lots of traffic you make lots of money. No traffic, no money. Simple as that. So learn how to get traffic to your sales pages and sell something.

now many years you started reaching $1 a day using adsense
In your case, it will take only 20 years.
