it's bad to have a link to your page on a page with more than 25 links, right?

I think 25 was the number I remember reading.

In other words, it's good to have incoming links, but if those incoming links are from pages with a TON of links, then that's actually bad because google thinks you're messing with linkfarms and directories and will penalize you, right?

So getting a link from this page would be bad, right? There's like a million links here:

    But that page is PR3.

And the domain is PR4. Does that make the links worth more then? Cuz google wouldn't give a spam directory PR4 would it?

    Yes and No..

There was a period a while back when Google starting penalising links from 'links' or 'resources' pages but that seems to have stopped now.

If the list of links are relevant to the site they're on and all the links are focussed on one topic i.e. all of those links are about martial arts then it's not bad really. You've got to consider co-citation, something which is a very overlooked aspect of linkbuilding.

If it were me I would try and get a link on there if I had a site about marital arts. Of course if Bubishi was just some random blog with 'my list of random favourite sites' and it was full of random, unrelated sites, I wouldn't bother, but since it's relevant it's worthwhile.

Don't expect any major amount of link juice from it, but it certainly wont be negative.
