I walked out on that shit today....

Timing is right, and I feel confident in going full time IM

I could have before I quit but was playing it safe and stacking some extra dough, but enough is enough.

I literally did the Half Baked thing to announce my quitting although it didnt start that way: (It may help to know I fix/install/setup espresso and coffee machines, even though I started at this job in the warehouse the technician prior to me quit, and I basically was pushed into his job, so Im not too sure what Im doing and they know it, but still expect results. Keep in mind this technician job they forced me into has been for over a year now)

Owner: Why was your phone off?

    Me: My Charger broke

Owner: Well your like a Doctor, you need to be on call 24/7

Me::confused: Uhhh Doctors save lives, go through years of additional schooling, and get paid around 5x as much as I do.

Owner: Well whats best for my business is you doing your job as it
comes up. You know things happen all the time and we need to be there to handle any problems.

Me: Well I have never seen "WE" go anywhere, its always ME, and I never agreed to work outside of the hours of 9-5 it was assumed.

    Owner: And?

Me: And I dont GIVE A FUCK ANYMORE so Fuck You

Me: (Points to another boss) FUCK YOU

    Me: (another "boss") FUCK YOU

Me: (My warehouse buddies) YOUR COOL

Me: and FUCK YOU (The receptionist, I actually feel bad about this one, she is actually very nice, but it had to be done to complete the FUCK YOUS appropriately)

    Then walked out that mothafucka!!!

Honest to God I got about a block away and snuck back in to fill out my time sheet (doh:headache:)

Just had to share todays events.
Good Luck All, Dont Take Any Shit. No one owns you.

Im not a businessman IM A BUSINESS MAN

lol on going back and filling out your time sheet after. Also hope you have a steady method and some cash to help ease the transition. I wouldn't recommend burning bridges usually, but since it's already burning, let the mother burn..burn mother burn

Oh yeah that bridge was burnt but they had to keep me on due to not being able to find anyone do what I was expected, for what I was getting paid

And the REAL owner (The money of the operation) still likes me :) but he isnt really involved in day to day operations

Me and a buddy have both quit our jobs and gone into business as a team on IM. It's all well and good if you're lucky enough not to have to pay rent.

IM pays nothing for ages and takes up all your time....then a year later, you find yourself laying on the beach making $50 commission every half hour. It's the sweetest deal there is but its dangerous to just walk out if you have financial commitments.

I wish you the best of luck. IM attracts me so much because I truly hate kissing ass.

Truth be told... I know how to play the game with my employer (former) its just I couldnt play anymore.

    I wouldnt play anymore.

Im not their son, family member, pet, slave, or possession.

    I felt taken advantage of...

I would rather work 16 hours for myself for the same $ that 8 hours at some job I hate would pay me.

Congratulations on taking the leap. After my last job I swore to myself that I would never work another job again. I told myself that I was either going to succeed spectacularly or die trying, but either way I'll never work for anyone else again.

My only advice is to stay very organized with your todo lists and such. It's way too easy to just waste 5 hours screwing around on the internets instead of doing actual work. :)

I've been self employed most of my life. Hint: you don't HAVE to make all your income with only one source. (like Internet Marketing) 6 months from now you may be struggling to get it off the ground. Don't fall into the typical mindset "Shit, I need to get another full time job." Find many little jobs that allow you to work on Internet Marketing on all those other days. When you've got 12 bosses/clients, you can tell any of them to fuck off and not be too concerned.

Honestly, although I do have a few sources of income from IM I figured if it all hits the fan I (or anyone for that matter) could write articles for $4 a piece(unique, and I only speak english, thats half the battle) and easily knockout 15-20 a day no problems.

However, that would not be ideal.

Ideally, I use my own articles for building on my own income streams, but its a good fall back. Especially if you know you can.

I was actually laughing at myself on the walk back to the time sheet. I even thought
"Fuck it I dont need todays pay...." Then I thought "STFU Moron, thats your money WTF were you thinking"

Yeah and that receptionist was truly nice, its a shame that she was there but I had already gotten into
"Spinning head, Foaming at the mouth, physically shaking, literally envisioning my fist through the bosses face mode", but my mom coulda been sitting there and she woulda got it. It was inevitable at that point...

Im trying to get my warehouse guys to get a copy of the security video, even without sound you would be able to see the whole thing go down.
