I just launched my website a few weeks ago. Within the first week of launching, I got an order that failed. When I checked, I saw that the buyer has completed everything, but PayPal was unable to process her payment. I was so devastated! I learned that it's probably because her billing address does not match the one on her PayPal. I emailed her about not completing her order but she did not respond so I left it at that. MARKETING in the First Week After Launching I marketed my new e-commerce website through Facebook (I paid $5 for Facebook advertising to start getting a few likes to my page - just for brand awareness) I asked someone in my niche to do me a shoutout on Instagram. (She did not ask for payment but I got a few followers from that shoutout and I get Instagram traffic everyday) I promoted my site to Reddit. I mainly focused on Pinterest and is very active at re-pinning relevant stuff. I started a blog to my e-commerce site. RESULT: I haven't been as active as before at marketing my website. I just add a few products when I have time. Right now I have about 20 products, but I have a steady stream of traffic coming from Google, Pinterest, Instagram and Reddit, and today I made $41 from one order. After subtracting PayPal fees, expenses for the supplier, and freebies (I let my buyers know they get a free product when their order is of certain amount), my gross earning is at $16. I'm sharing this as a win and someone out there must have a bigger profit than me, but I'm just so happy about it. I'm getting traffic from Google because I optimize my product titles. I think that when I add more products, I'll get more traffic sales.
