So i have a website that is around a year old in a not very hard niche. I have not spammed it at all and have got most of the links through Web 2.0s, guest posting, contacting other sites in my niche etc. I am on the 2nd page of Google for quite a few keywords i would like to rank and been looking at the link services in the market place but there are so many its hard to figure out whats best for me. Im also looking for them to be relatively cheap and one off payments rather than monthly payments. If i can get the site ranked and hopefully get some money coming in, it will be on to bigger and better things. This is the first website i ever built and i have done everything by myself like inner linking, writing the articles etc. Its weird but some of the main keywords im targeting are not even showing in the serps at all when they should be considering the links etc iv sent to them. Guess iv done something wrong. How do yous pick what service to use when you dont have enough cash to buy a few and see what works?. How are the sellers with you when you are a bit of a noob who is going to ask noob questions?

As a recommendation look up SeoWays DiverCity, packs a lot of punch for the price.
Aside take a look for the Wikipedia dead link guide on BHW, has proved useful.

Firstly, make sure you have built the website properly and check whether you have done both on-page & off-page perfectly. It plays a key role in ranking your website aside from building links.

Have you ever done backlink analysis of your competitor? Try to check them out, it might give you a chance to see what went wrong with your site.

There are a lot of free stuffs offered here in BHW, you can use them if you have don't have deep pockets at the moment. Make sure you pick the right service.

Finally most of the sellers here are very friendly and they are keen to clear all your doubts even if you ask noob questions. I don't think they will get frustrated for asking queries but if they do then please stay away from them.

I would not recommend a service out here, by the way you speak looks like your very careful of your site. If so then I would recommend you building your own PBN. So you have control over your own links.

Thanks for the replies guys. Yeah i have been careful with this site and tried to keep it looking natural. Its strange, 2 of the bigger keywords im targeting are nowhere in the serps yet i did the on page stuff and the link building the exact same as some of my keywords that are ranking. All part of the learning curve i guess. Once i have a steady income then i do plan on building my own PBN which should be fun.

Diversify some of your link building. How many links do you have?

Add some high PR blog comments to raw or branded URL. They pack a punch, surprisingly.

Add a handful of Social Bookmarks. From the links you described you have quite a few do - follow and are passing link juice well.

For most people, I suggest you re check your on page. You need to also diversify your link building, aforementioned.

What is your tier two like? I suggest you run some more tier two to those existing 2.0 properties. Also, I suggest adding some content to your 2.0s to add authority, that will give them more power.

I could keep going, but I think this is the start you need. Diversify a bit with more powerful links.

In the market place you can get cheap bookmarks, get a good deal on tier two, and also get cheap high PR blog comments. $6 for 50 is the best deal I have seen.

A press release will help you, which you can get for $30 in the market place. It adds authority, which your site may be lacking if you only built the links you stated to have built. They are no - follow and will balance your portfolio.

Stop building 2.0s, Guest Post, ect to exact match for now. If your onpage is great you do not need to, and if you have quite a few exact match you should dilute.

Some other good and diverse link types are article directory, doc sharing, audio file, and profile submission. I get a lot of success with Profile Submissions. You can get those for around $5 for 20 of them on high PR platforms. Once I do that, I pull out the Do - Follow (About 75% of those links) and build links to the profile. A hundred or so a day for a week usually does the trick. You force index these profiles. They add loads of authority and pass most of the link juice. Do not build too many tier two to them at once because they can be taken down.

Once you diversify a bit, keep velocity up. Keep adding new link at a steady pace. After a few weeks, check positioning of the KWs again. Depending on competition, this should do the trick to bump them into the 300 places with perfect on page.

Then you can do another round of blog comments (They are some of the best bang for the buck. A lot of power). I stick to less than 10% of my links be blog comments. Most often I prefer 5% or less, but I do this once I have a LOT of links. They will give you movement.

I then go back, and run another set of links to my still existing and do follow 2.0s. Add an article or image to the blogs as well.

Then I would suggest moving onto PBN links of your own and in the market place. A LOT depends on the KW, all of it really. But assuming what I have based on the types of links you built, diversifying and adding authority or age would be the first thing on my to do list. Then cheaply improving existing properties. Then throwing some more black hat and risky links before I more onto PBN. It is all about a good ratio of and diversity of your links. Quality over quantity, so beef up existing properties. Keep a consistent velocity. Then dabble with more powerful things.

From someone who has a lot of experience testing most of services on this site, I would have to say all of them didn't work for me... the cheap ones anyway. I would try the guys with good reputations, they have good services but at a cost.

If the thread is getting a lot of attention, good reviews, and repeat customers then you know its good.

I only purchased 1 or 2 bad services during my time here. If you take the time to scan through the threads it will save you money

Not necessarily most people pay friends to review their service. I tested a service on one of my sites what was some web 2.0s and some PBN links, It destroyed my site and got it penalised even though it was full of good reviews.

There are some good services out there...what is killing the BST in general are fake reviews... "good service, me buy again really soon" ...

the sellers in the marketplace offer varieties of link building services, depending on what you're looking for. Only using high-cost links is not always ideal and there's a place for lower quality backlinks as much as there is for authority site links. Have a look through the offers, read detailed reviews posted on the thread and join in on the discussion forums. There are plenty of threads discussing what type of links are good for specific purposes.

In regards to the false reviews, if you see this happening - please report it. As mods, we can't deal with an issue if we don't know about it.

Here are some suggestions I came up with to fix this:

    1. Require minimum post count to post a review
    2. A built in option to rate services based on various criteria (link quality, results, tat, etc.)
    3. Only allow thread replies to be questions, or reviews. No more "Just placed order, transaction id XXXXXXXXXXXX)" taking up 90% of replies.

We're looking at introducing new marketplace features when the forum upgrades which should deal with these issues. We'll be able to provide more details when we're further into it.

For the time being though, if you see fake reviews - report them. If they're obviously fake, we will (and do!) delete + ban dodgy accounts. Otherwise, we look into suspicious activity and as long as we can find evidence of bumping/fake reviews we can get rid of them.

If no-one's reporting the reviews, it makes it incredibly difficult to police. Don't ignore them or assume someone else will have reported it. I'd rather delete 4 duplicate reports than miss someone trying to game the system.

Thread is getting off topic for the OP. Any more discussion on the marketplace should be discussed in the forum feedback section.

Just curious, are there repercussions for the seller as well for having fake reviews? I believe there should be since they're trying to mislead the community. I've tried several services at BHW, was disappointed with the majority of them so haven't bought anything else in a while. I'm looking forward to the forum upgrades Apricot :)

OK, last comment on this. When we find proof, there are always repercussions for the sellers involved, ranging from infractions to bans (depending on the scale). We spend a LOT of time reviewing marketplace services before they get approved and nobody just gets waved through. So if I've spent time carefully picking someone's sales thread apart to make sure it matches up with the review copy they provide, I expect to see them provide the same level of service to every member on the forum.

But that's where we need feedback from members. If no-one reports issues with fake feedback, bad services or false advertising, we can't read every thread just in case someone made a comment 3 pages back in the making money section. Under every post across the forum, there's a "Report Post" link with a triangle next to it - if you see something wrong, use this and let us know.

Again, this isn't the place to go into it - am happy to talk about it, just not here. :)

Yes none of them are good if you want to survive even a single update. All of them will crash and burn your site mate. EVEN the expensive ones. I paid over $400 on a single month package here from one of the "reputable" guys and it did nothing at all.

Use the money to buy domains for a PBN and tools so you can do everything yourself.
